No, e buggy is built. Ran it once at SJRC. Ran CRE plus 4 all season in truggy. WELL...until all my stuff grew legs and walked off.

I'm going to motorama. Don't really care too much for electric but it's racing. Can't wait for the outdoor season.

Easy...just put a 2096/41021 on it...... it will still have excellent performance, but it will be more tractable.....

Actually it is universal with all engines, however some engines respond better then others do.... my Clocked engines respond extremely well to tuning by tuned pipe, with a more dynamic performance change as opposed to a stock engine........ On some pipes my modifieds will only be slightly stronger then stock, then other pipes will make nearly double the power the stock engine would.. and in some rare cases the modified may make less power on a particular pipe then the stock engine would.......You would be amazed at how much that BTT will change when you take that 86 off........ Those modified BTT's are super potent on the 9886 pipe...one of those combinations that the timings match up well and it makes power beyond what it should for a 4 port......

is there a cheaper alternative to the nova pipe u suggested? I have a dyn053 and couple ofna pipes. would any of these have a similar effect?

So I suggest first thing is to try a 41021 style manifold on that 9886... then if that is too much then try the 053, then the other pipes you have..... Its hard to predict what will suit you the best.. Sometimes it doesn't take much of a change to make a pretty big difference in how a engine feels on the track.... The Clocked BTT really meshes will with the 9886/41001 and makes a whole bunch more HP then any of the other combos I have tested...On that combo that engine is a beast that rivals the 7 ports....However once you take that combo off the engine settles down quite a bit and behaves more as a tradition plus 4 series does.....IMO its a great engine because it is capable of being tuned from quite mild to quite wild with just a simple pipe/header change......... The stock engine likes the 9886 too, but nowhere near the same reaction as we get with the Clocked engine...

For example. I ran a clocked p5 with a 9853 41001 setup and it was ok, so I took Neals' advice and ran a 9886 41001 setup and bam that thing was a beast. The 9886 41001 setup works on the BTT and p5 clocked versions really well. It takes some experimenting with pipes and headers on different tracks to get the power you want, but in the end you will be grinning

Hi Neal, Ive just bought an unused Clocked Plus 4 21-4BTT from a racer here in Aus. I'm going to use it in my mbx6r (I know I should update it, but it's dialled). I know that 9886 and 41001 is the best combo for the engine but I'm going to need a pipe that's on the ifmar homologation list. What's the next best combo to use?
I have the 41029 short manifold as it has the tighter bend suiting the mbx6r and also a 9901 pipe, how will this work?
I believe these engines are shimmed to run 30%, how ever I'm thinking of running 25%, will I need to re shim the engine?

the 9901/41029 will be one of the mildest combos you will find.... runs very nicely, somewhat limited top end and smooth power with good low end pop........the shimming should be fine for 25%.....but I am not 100% sure as I am not sure who's engine you bought and what it was setup for when it left ere
