@ Cherry. You ever run the TLR 22 2.0 in MM and compare to C4.2? Just curious.

I think all cars were stuck. Track was like sand paper, traction rolling everywhere.

+1 I am not a conversion fan. I will probably just wait to see what AE does with the next gen car.

You'd have to drive both models only after they were set up by the same person. This is the ONLY way to know for sure which is better. Being as South Florida tracks are rough red "clay" we will likely never run MM cars, so I doubt I'd ever run one. Had my 22 and never even thought to run MM configuration because the steering system was terrible enough that I realized early on I needed something better to improve my consistency.

The only kit currently that's intriguing me is the Schumacher Mid Motor Jammie because it was purposely designed and engineered as a mid motor and it looks well done. It may prove to be a total turd, but I'm not a fan of these rigged MM kits which I'm convinced do nothing better than a properly tuned RM version. It all depends on who's had the Radio is residing in. A great driver will always make anything look good. Local guy here purposely built a slash to compete in Mod SC class and he spanked everyone, just to prove the point.

Yes cars can make a significant difference, but the capabilities of drivers can make an even more significant difference.
It does help to look what the pros are driving and they are driving Centro for Associated. Do they stick with it is the question? Maybe a new B4 hits in a few months and bye bye Centro which would suck.....AE takes our money for a few months to play with a conversion.

It would be more than a few months. They appear to be developing option parts for the centro. And they would not do that for a few months. Now in maybe a year or 2.....

Before reading wildcats post I was planning on holding off on the c4. Really, 2 years before an all new platform?

I think the parts are already done from the centro C4.1. Look on rc10.com or cml's website. The C4.1 looked like a home conversion and that's why I didn't know AE made the c4.2. Speaking of home conversions in the back of my mind I was wondering what a b44 would do with no front shaft or ball diff installed or possibly a b4 front end mounted on it. My mind wonders what can I say. Slap a b4 front end on it and it might be better than the centro

was told 6 month to a year at best ...

Better get one , promise you its the funnest Ae ever ...

drives like your B44 , have to hold the gas on a little more and be smooth ...
No longer have to throw it hard into the turn and wait to get pointed & nail the gas .

You let the Centro do all the work instead ...

Makes it easier to go fast with not to mention jumping better and landings are sweet .

I drove it tonight on dusty & bald tires and still drove great ,
going just as fast with the Centro as I did
with my B44 in GOLD CUP 1st day racing C4 .

forgot
Centro has incredible precise rear arm mounts , no play at all & silky smooth...
