Also, what spares should I have on hand? I know this is a "just read the thread" question. But I've got an opportunity to get the buggy and parts new for less. Thanks for any advice!
They say 80%, but it's not really all the good stuff that you might break. I would go with and extra set of the HD front arms, spur gear, shock shafts, hinge pins, and wing mount. Since you have another 410, you could cut out the shock shafts and hinge pins. I've broke one of each, except the wing mount. Still I've heard people breaking it so I have one, just in case.

Yes, definitely. It soaks up the dye instantly.

Broke my first major part in buggy had it since it first came out. The rear ring pinion teeth stripped out. To me wear didn't look to bad was just to say it started to skip teeth. Bought 2 new updated complete diffs and pinions. Also updated rear diff with bearings. How are you guys shimming diffs 1 shim per side? thats how mine are barely can get shims in there.

I noticed a distinct lack of pictures in this thread recently, so let's post up a few if you have some. Specifically I was looking for some new mounting/wiring locations and didn't have much luck. This is useful for the guys/gals building the new kits (especially since the EB48.2 is out).

Got tired of the excessive heat, wiring problems (pre-installed wires can't be removed from motor), and broken fans. So sorry hobbywing, you're my secondary now (still primary in the SCT410).

I'd have to go back about 8-10 years to figure that out They were out of my parts box when I got back into the hobby recently. Nitrohouse (and probably others) appear to carry similar items.
