Thanks.

Not Randy but I can answer this , those are for setting the minimum amount of brake/throttle that is applied when you move the trigger on the TX .....Meaning if you set it at 10% throttle then 10% is applied when you first move the trigger on up to 100% ...

From this page: http://www.teamtekin.com/hotwire_RX8.html

Brake Minimum: This is a new feature for 2.12 and adjusts the minimum amount of brake that can be applied. Factory setting is "10" and "10" is equal to how the braking used to be in 2.08. You can now adjust it further if you wish for less brake to be applied at first touch of brake on the trigger. This will give the brakes a softer entry and will help keeping the car settled during braking.

Throttle Minimum: This is a new feature for 2.12 and adjusts the minimum throttle that will be applied to the motor. Factory default is "10" and "10" is where 2.08 was permanently set. Lowering the number below ten decreases the initial speed the motor will drive at with the least amount of throttle being applied. This is beneficial for rock crawlers to be able to drive at very slow crawl speeds. Raising the number will cause the start up to be abrupt and have a faster minimum speed than factory.

Default New to Tekin

I used to wonder why on earth people would purchase Tekin products. Sure they seemed to work reliably at the track, but they always seemed too pricey for my tastes...why pay alot for a "Tekin" when i can get a cheaper esc or motor that works just as well for a fraction of the price? Well last month I broke down and bought an RX8 Gen 2, Hotwire and a proHD 4300 to go into my new Tekno sct410. The only word that comes to mind is "Wow!". I now see what all of the fuss is about! Im not just talking power..i mean just in general, the features are amazing. I love the data logging. Not to mention the damn thing just works, no fuss..no fiddling...no odd quirks...no wondering if im stressing the esc out...it just works! No. I do not work for Tekin, i'm just a longtime Rc'er who appreciates a quality product. Tekin, you now have another loyal customer/fanboy for life. Keep making superior products!

If you do have a issue with your product there customer service is second to none as well! Hard to get that with the "other cheaper" brands if you can actually contact someone in the first place! There are lots of reasons to run Tekin and performance is just the start!

We're working on something better, however, the HotWire has advantages such as firmware updates, the creating saving and loading of custom driver profiles and data logging. I rarely plug my RX8s into the HotWire, usually just updating firmware versions, load my profile and done. Adjusting the track-specific things like brake strength is easy and takes seconds to do without having to go back to the pit. We developed the QuickTune tuning so you don't need a handheld card to make changes.

I run the T8 2050kv in my buggy it is a great motor for multiple tracks large or small. Plenty of torque on small tracks and top end speed on larger layouts 5000 mah will get u through most any mains. As for truggy I ran 4s at start with the high kv T8 to same money on lipos but eventually went to 6s with the T8 1350kv much better setup temps on motor were easy to control and easy to finish mains with 4000mah lipo
