There will be an updated software available shortly.
Thanks for taking the time to respond I don't feel like anything is wrong was more out of curiosity and was wondering if more people had noticed the same thing.

Can anyone tell me if I can download the 238 software on my gen1 rx8....I realize I won't have all the benefits of the new software but just wondering if it would hurt the old gen1 rx8. ????.....thanks !!

Just update hotwire. The new firmware for the gen1 is a lot smoother.
One click updates your rs pro, rx8 1 & 2 and so on.

Hotwire will know if you plugged in gen 1 or 2 and update accordingly. You can't have gen 2 on gen 1... but you get a nice update for gen 1

My rx8 gen2 died last night. I have sent an email requesting an RMA, but if anyone is going to be in the office this morning it would help so much if you could go ahead & send me the RMA # so I can get it in the mail today.

My state championship race is coming up at the end of this month (27-28th). I REALLY need it back before then.

Tia!

You were slaughtering your esc?, think you mean soldering, but they sell new cases online, as far as voiding warranty, I'm not sure but I doubt they would void it cause they have great service and plus they sell a black case for the gen 2 so if we wanted black we would have to change it, I don't think they would sell something that can require removing the case if it voids warranty?

I run the rs pro and the rx8 gen 2 I already have the software on the computer for the rs pro should I make a 2nd download just for the rx8 gen 2 when I use the hotwire.

So it does or does not void the warranty? I feel like every time this is asked there is no clear answer given.

No, replacing your case does not void the warranty.

The GEN2 is definitely more smooth than the GEN1, was the first thing I noticed when we started testing. Been working really hard on making them this way.
I need to get on the Gen2 wagon. I thought the Gen1 was smooth.
