Which body are you guys using ? When i look at the setup sheets i see mostly the Protoform AMR ? The Profotorm TR-12 apparantly is not so popular ?

Are the 12r5.1 and 12r5.2 rear pods the same? I am wanting to put a team tamale pod on my 5.2 and the pod they list says 5.1. Thanks

What's needed to balance the rear pod?

I use the AMR, i run 17.5 stock. i have a tr12 but havent tried it yet, friends who have tried it report that its too much drag and the car is too "stuck" with it where we race

I took a couple good hits to the front left side. That side has developed some extra "droop" you could say. There's more play in that side of the car. Nothing broken, nothing is bent, what I think happened was the plastic balls in the front arm and upper link have been "stretched".

Anyone else experience this in the past? I'm going to replace the upper link first to see if that fixes it.

anyone using a kimbrough servo saver (white) and s9650 servo?

I'm trying to figure out what type of screw I should use to fix the servo saver on the servo considering the head of the stock screw caming with the s9650 is too large for the hole..

Sounds like a collapsed spring, if your track is running clockwise the left front spring tends to collapse and cause it to have more droop.

Is it necessary to balance the rear pod? It will not transfer uneven wheight to the chassis. On the other hand, a balanced pod is useful when you put the whole car on spikes...

It is not necessary to balance a rear pod. There was a whole discussion about this on a thread here that I can't find now. Lots of people gave lots of theories... until Mike Blackstock wrote that he had tried this and his car handled better with the standard set-up than with a balanced pod! The conversation then stopped...

As the weight of the whole pod and motor sits on three points it will distribute the weight pretty much evenly across the tyres and the centre pivot. In any event, all the weight goes to the chassis goes through the centre pivot into the chassis, and so any uneveness in the balance will only affect rear tyres, not chassis balance. If the car takes off straight, and pulls evenly out of left and right turns then the motor torque is getting evenly to the tyres and all is well. Modern cars are very good on pod balance as standard, so don't worry. HTH
