Default 12R5.2 rear widht with BSR tires

hi!

I got few parts from 12R5.2 to build other chassis.
Left side allu and engine mount, upper carbon plate, rear brace from L to R.

Now, when I try put bsr tires it is too width, 1mm .. over limit.

So my question is to 12R5.2 drivers, it is possible use bsr rear tires on 12R5.2 with 172mm limit?

Jaco, mobgums aka RB are perfect, but bsr which has very small ofset I can't use ...

Anyone can check bsr tires?

Thank you!
Michal

Yes you can run BSR tires on the 12r5.2. Keven Hebert just won the IIC with BSR tires. You will not run any shims on the right side and will need to maybe flip the left rear hub around.

I don't remember tech checking width at iic on 12th Monti

I have run the past two ROAR nationals (carpet and asphalt) with my 12r5.2 and have passed tech there too. It can be done, I think it has to do with the LR hub and how it's turned.

Anybody using the Savöx SH-1257MG servo in the R5.2 ?
Are there any mounting issues with this servo ?
What servo saver should i get for that servo ?

From what i can see you will need

1 x 4700 Motor Mount Bulkhead
1 x 4701 LR Bulkead
1 x 4702 Motor Mount Brace
1 x 4703 Upper Pod Plate
1 x 4704 Chassis Brace
2 x 4705 Front Bulkhead
1 x 4707 Side Sprig Retainer
1 x 4708 Damper Tube
1 x 4709 Damper Tube Shaft
1 x 8828 Cup Set
1 x 31322 Arm Mount Bushing

I think that is all (someone correct me if there is anything missing)

Kind regards,

Chris
Can someone please confirm the minimum parts required to convert a 5.1 to damper tubes? I'm new to 1/12th and stripped the side shock cap already might be a good time to go to tubes.

If you only want the dampertubes, there is no need to buy the whole list. You only need the new top plate, tweak bar, dampertubes and ballstuds. I went with the dampertube conversion kit from Speedmerchant. If you are in spending mode, grab the Tamale pod from Speedmerchant site aswell.

1 x 4703 Upper Pod Plate
1 x 4704 Chassis Brace
1 x 4707 Side Sprig Retainer
1 x 4708 Damper Tube
1 x 4709 Damper Tube Shaft

I do not have the manual in front of me, but I think it will get you there. Or speedm smr6030

Hi!

Im new to 1/12 scale and have some questions that i havent found any answers to yet.

-Im on 1s lipo with a 4.5t motor, whats a good roll out startin point?
-What parts should i stock up?
-I thought i might be able to use my saddle pakcs, but only a few had the right size, any good battery packs that will be a direct fit att a fairly low cost?

Any help is greatly appriciated

Default BSR tires

Hi All,

I have been running the BSR tires with great luck for the past few months.

My car is curently 171.75mm

I took all the shims out of my car, I am running the left hub on its regular side but I sanded about .4mm off of it and I am running 2 of the very thin ae axle shim on that side and 1 very thin shim on the right side and my car is even on both side and is 171.75mm !

Hope this helps.

Good to know Kevin
Been a while since I've run that combo, thought there was more to it than simply bolting them on, and hitting the max width

A 4.5t with a 730g foam tired land missile is a lot to handle, even for the best in the world
You might consider motoring down a bit, so you can enjoy the sweet corner speed, rather than piling up a parts bill
