Dumb question: How often to rebuild shocks? I've run my buggy for a few weekends and the oil is low. Do I rebuild the shocks or just top them off? I have an AE o-ring set in my box. Should I replace all those plastic spacers in the shock too or just the rings?

if the oil is clear, just top them off. If its brown change the oil. its they are leaking all over the place, rebuild. That is the way I do it anyway.

lol, practice? I am not aware of any short cuts. I guess you can try to breed the shock with the springs and cup on. I never tried that. but heard a few say they do it that way. I never timed myself. How long does it take you to pull off 4 shocks. remove the caps, dump the oil, replace the oil, bleed, wipe off and remount... I think I could do it in 15 minutes no problem.

Its always safest to breed with your spring cup on.

replace oil after 15 <> 20 runs.

Replace O rings every 2 weeks...

when attending 2 day events or big races , replace seals before the event & oil each day.

Topping off is no good as the oil wears out with use .
If you gone though the trouble to tear down the shock replace the oil.
