Tekno SCT410 Thread
Thank you, would it really be worth the extra $20 for the 7200s? I mean I can buy 3 6500s for the same price as 2 7200s.
That's what I figured, plus temps will stay low enough with the pro4hd, that I can just drop another pack in and keep going if I'm at home.
you may only see a slight, if any, difference in performance when both packs are new. the difference will be when the batteries get to 20-30 cycles which is when the nano's will start to lose their punch.
If your looking for bang for buck and don't require hard case you could get the SPC 8200mAh 50C pack for $49.
I've got two that were bought back in November and ran with no lipo cutoff every weekend and they are still going strong.

The Tekno RC team has had a busy weekend here in southern California attending both Round 6 of the JBRL and Round 4 of the Top Notch Series. Rainman's Hobby and Raceway was host to the JBRL where Tekno driver Barry Baker drove to a well deserved first place finish with his Tekno SCT410. In the 1/8th buggy class Tekno driver Chris Blais had a flawless first place finish with his Tekno EB48. Chris was followed closely by his brother and fellow Tekno driver Nick Blais placing in a respectable 3rd.
The Top Notch series was held at San Diego RC Raceway and had a great turnout. Running his Tekno SCT410, Tekno team driver Josh Bertrand was able to take a strong 1st place finish. In the 1/8 buggy class Josh was able to pull off yet another victory followed by Tekno team manager Matt Wolter in 2nd. Tekno RC looks forward racing to racing with you again soon.

Seriously when running 10min mains with a battery hog you'd be surprised how far you can milk a dead battery. A lot of times the LVC will be tripped just from a cell dipping down under load. Hence why I ruin batteries. These SPC batteries have been ran down to the point of not being able to move the car and are still kicking.
I had a great weekend racing both of the Tekno vehicles in our 3rd round of the Iowa Summer Series at 80/35 raceway. Battled all day with A-Main Sponsored driver Scott Rapoport. He took the TQ but it was an awesome race to the finish. It was the closest finish of the day. I was anywhere from 4 sec to 1.5 sec behind him the entire race, untill the last lap. =)
If you could just watch the last lap and tell me what you think.

Track was super slick, and I was having a hard time keeping it pointed forward unless I drove it hard. It still needs some setup work, but it's getting there.

He was given the win. I raced him clean all day, it was the main, and we were fighting for the win. He told me at the end of the race that I could have the win, but I didn't argue the final standings. I figure I'll get even instead. =)
I'll be honest, I wasn't that worked up about it, but the we're quite a few people who were. It was a fun race, and the Byron's race is in Omaha in a few weeks, and I'll get mine. =) So Scott, if your reading this, racing is door to door, not bumper to bumper. My Tekno is heavier than your Losi, and physics wins. =)

Grimm, I've seen your truck run. LOL, no way you should loose any 4x4 SC drag races. That has to be one of the fastest 4x4 SC's I've seen down the straits. Rocket Ship!
To bad you didn't get the win, but I heard people back here talking about how good you drove last weekend. Looked pretty good in 1/8 Electric too.
