The heavy duty rubber seal provides extra protection against the harshest elements; the ceramic ball provides lower friction and increased durability. Ceramic hybrids are lighter, have less rolling resistance and can sustain higher operating temperatures than traditional bearings. All Ceramic Lightning Yellow sealed bearings are packed in grease and will require a short break in period to loosen up."
I felt the same way till I put a brand new set in, grabbed a wheel full of pole and crushed the ceramic balls in the bearing. Personally I will not run ceramic bearings in an 1/8 off road situation, but again thats a personal preference. 1/10 stadium truck or buggy, thats a different story.

Can't wait to start building it but I'm gonna take my time because I can still run my Loosi for a while. Any building advice?
first page has some good tips worth reading prior to building. Other than the stuff mentioned there and here, its a very easy build.

Rear was getting loose once the track really dried out, but I think that was more a tire issue.
With that combination how much droop are you running? Front and rear.

hey guys, just asked a similar question on the EB48 thread but would you put a Savox 1256 or 1257 in your SCT410 or do I need to go buy a 1258? And can you explain why you chose one over the other?

I believe it's a personal preference, some people want speed and some want torque servos, both will do good either way, I chose the RP multi servo so I could have little of both

Its eaier to run a slower but torquier servo than a weak but speedy one. Having too fast of a servo will make the car feel twitchy and unstable.

Just FYI: 2 buddies running the EB's have exploded 2 gear sets apiece running 1258tg's.

Just some food for thought.

I too have ruined a set of gears in my 1258 savox. Had endpoints set correctly as well when it happened. So far the replacement gears are fine and the servo is still going strong.

Did you blow out 5 sets of Savox gears or Futaba's?

I have a Savox 1258 and no issues at all, and it's still going good and have had it about 1.5yrs. Most of that time spent in a SCTE and the last 5-6months in a SCT410.

What is this? Picture doesn't seem to match the description, but it sounds like a one box conversion kit for creating a lightweight buggy from the SCT410 will be hitting the store soon!!

Not a bad price either considering just the 17mm hex and axle conversion was $50 for the car.
