Hey guys I'm looking for a little gearing help ! I was running a Reedy 550 4.5 with a 16 tooth pinion and now I will be using a Rev Teck 540 4800 . Should I stay with the 16 or drop down a tooth or two ?
You should be fine. Keep an eye on it tho. Mine ran really hot in the tekno.
The arm takes a flat head screw with the link assembly mounting above the arm. My measurements show a 1.5mm spacer needed to keep the arm level mounting to the steering post.
Everything is inverted compared to the HB.
Decided out of guilt, to check over my entire truck. (it's been since release that i've touched my CVA's, bearings, hingepins, etc) Found something interesting.

Huge pics for a reason. Check out that damage! I took the bearings off the axle, and they literally fell apart.
Mind you! These axles are 6 months old easy and have never 'EVER' been touched since build night. Just thought i'd throw this up since I haven't been driving a whole lot. (SC is slim pickin's right now...

)I will be buying one of these trucks at the end of the month, I have a $65 off coupon at towers.

So got some goodies in the mail yesterday and during the install horror music started to play..
Heres the goods

and here is the problem.. when I changed out the center diff, to add the steel spur I figured might as well change the diff fluids to 7 instead of the 5 originally in it... there was literally one drop of diff oil in it.. enough the make the gears sticky but thats about it... I bought it as a roller maybe its my fault I didnt check from jumpstreet.. im gonna check all the diffs now..what happens when the oil is gone from the diffs?

Well fellas I finally made the switch, let go of the Losi and picked up the Tekno sct410, I am almost done with the build and I am super pumped, can't wait to get it finished and out on the track. I will be running a RX8 gen2 with a Tenshock SC411 4600kv with a 12 tooth pinion. I like all the torque and my track is kinda small.

Hello again, I finished my build last night and this thing is awsome! Just got to run it for a few minutes in front of the house but in comparison to my sc10 4x4 I can really see huge potential. I do have a ? The kit came with 3k 5k and 7k for the diffs and I put them 5/7/3 front to rear is that correct? Thanx and way to go Tekno
