Amp setting on charger
#16
I'm not sure how to explain it any easier than that. Move the decimal point to the left 3 places for a 1c charge rate. Done.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, you can't go wrong following manufacturers specs, if you can find them. It's funny,
most of them (battery manufacturers) refer you back to your charger's owner's manual, which I don't know about yours, but mine is written in some whole other language.
I read the words, but I'll be darned if I can make sense out of any of it. Why can't they write them for the non techno geek average person?
Like I said, just my 2 cents.

EricW, thankyou, that's the first formula I think I've seen that is easy to remember, and understand. Why can't manufacturers put it that way, I mean we're not all electrical engineers.

Most chragers that ive seen people use dont even go over 10 amps. I have a hitech x4 amd its max amp is 6. And i have a venom pro charger plus and its max amp setting is 7. So on a 5600mah battery your never going to get more then a little over 1c

Hitech makes some pretty good products and I've heard their customer support is outstanding. But if your running 3s + and high mah and c rated batteries, from what I've seen, you just have to bite the bullet and invest in a charger that has the capacity to match your battery requirements. IMO. Looks to me as though you make it up in extended battery life.
