They have the C4.2 available, and I believe that it is like $280 you need to buy it through them directly.

I'm going to state the obvious here, but.. this being my first buggy, I am really glad I went with the B4.2. Such a simple, easy to work on design, no unnecessary parts, everything fits as it should... I took apart my roller to clean and relube everything and it's a joy to work on

+1 I think Paul has done his homework and a car that was meant for mid motor is probably gonna perform better then the 2n1 cars.

Just watched some of the you tube video's on the x-6. Looks pretty good It is. + 9 and has some nice carbon fiber, new body and wing coming. Think Ill do a pre order and build the B4.2 conversion. Think Ill convert my sons 13.5 and keep mine a RM.

Give me something to do while the B5 rumors roll around for another 6 months.

The B4.2 is great, and everything usually fits and goes together nice. There are exceptions, but at the end of the day it doesn't make much difference. Spare parts are at times "made" wrong. I for one have sent multiple parts back that were just plain defective. I even had a turnbuckle where they "forgot" to cut threads on one of the ends. I will say though, AE takes care of these issues QUICKLY when you reach out to them. As for fit, they tend to get loose much quicker than anything else due to a combination (IMO) of lower quality plastic and some design shortcomings. The strange thing though is this looseness seems to make them drive even better so no one really has a problem with it.

The only issue I have with the b4 is the bumper and front arms. My bumper is paper thin after a few weeks. granted they are super cheap, lol. I like the rpm front bumper, but it sticks out too far and cause lawn darting. I might use my heat gun to bent it back a little. The front arm really, really, really dont like pipes. If you dont hit pipes its fine, lol. And on hard packed tracks, the rear tower will break on roll overs. Again, dont crash. the b4 in the hands of a decent driver is a beast on the track. the replacement part are pretty cheap. My main concern is the b4.2. Something has changed. I think TT is making them for AE now, and to be honest they sucks at it. I never saw all these QC issues in the 4.1wc. I heard cliff lett mention in a pod cast that TT is making some of their kits and I think they are probably making the new kits. I would imagine that as new or upgraded kits come out, that TT will be doing much of the manufacturing. When AE owned its self, these issues were much more rare. I fear for the future of AE with TT in the picture.

^^^ When the TT/AE deal first started, TT wanted to "dig their claws", funny hee hee deeper in than AE wanted, most likely for the exact reasons we're starting to see now.

so I heard long ago.

AE needs to hold their ground or they'll be in a TLR/Losi situation. They had some ruff times, learn from it.

I just twisted mine kind of like braiding it, then just sent it through the chassis as usual.
