Is there a estimated date set for release of a 3.0e?or is the conversion the way to go.

I know that XXXDad suggested 15T, but I'd recommend 16-18 depending on the size of your track. I run a 17T with the 1900KV T8 + RX8 esc and temp 149 F after a hard 10 min run. This is on a med-large outdoor track with 2 straights and lots of braking. Ambient temp is high 80's, low 90's.

I started with a 14 but the motor temped in at 180F+. It seems the higher you go in pinion size the lower the temps are. Weird I know!! I think these motors have TONS of torque and actually prefer to be geared high. I don't have any pinions higher than 17 in my inventory, but I would be willing to bet that I could go as high as 20T and be safe.

Give it a shot and try going with a taller pinion. Just remember to check your motor temps every 1-2 min when experimenting so you don't thermal your motor.

Thanks man. I compared them to my 3 month old Truggy and they look terrible.. They was like that when i got it though, i thought it was burs or something but it's not. Im not very happy about it, i would rather have nice new shiny shocks than dinged up looking shock bodies lol. Looks like bad machining and they got beat up when tumbled..

Brand brand new! I did have it on my track Saturday for a couple hours but it's a nice hard packed smooth indoor track. Nothing to do that kind of mayhem lol..

Just purchased a new 3.0 and conversion kit to electric. Does anyone have the part number for the losi body? Also any other reccomendations would be appreciated.

If they do release one, it won't be much different.. I don't look for any big changes in 1/8 scale right now, i can't say the same for 1/10 though

Just got off the phone with good old Horizon! I swear ive never had customer service like they offer. Shock Bodies on the way...

We did find a typo/???, the part number for the black caps on the bottom to hold the o' rings in is for the 15mm shocks. Either they left the bottom threads and bore the same size and just made the main body bigger or it's a typo.
