My last car I ended up drilling out the brace a little and using a 4-40 screw. _
Right...that's a good idea and exactly what I had to do with my last one. I was reluctant to do it again, and just can't believe that AE hasn't addressed it.

I've been running the STRC bulkhead for several months now with good results. Hinge pin brace fits fine and haven't seen a bent hinge pin yet either. Doesn't weight that much more than the plastic either.

The blue is a love hate. Less or more, can't get rid of it all but I hear you.

Would like some more black parts to come out, see a lot of Red stuff but no good with blue, look like a Christmas tree.

The red goes well with my body so I have no complaints about that

Default Sliipper questions

does anyone have a link for what a 3 pad or 4 pad slipper looks like? my stock kit only comes with 2 pads. I am not sure what the set up sheets on the TA website refer to when they talk about 3 pad or 4 pad VTS ??

also, any thoughts on the stock slipper vs the AVID slipper system?

any help would be appreciated?

Thanks,
Justin

Wouldn't be as bad if the blue was the same blue. Depending on the part, there's a large variation of the color of the anodizing.

This is the VTS. What you see here goes on the outside of the spur gear. The other side of the spur will use the same slipper pad and plate you have now. This will be 3 pads and is the standard slipper that comes with the b4.2. The avid slipper is good too and lighter for stock racing.

Very very true, the blue varies quite noticeably between different parts

Has anyone tried aluminum front caster blocks? I have broken several recently & am considering trying some (last 3 parts broken were front right caster blocks, all different parts of the track w/ different types of wrecks & no broken arms). What brands have been used & what angle was it at?

That's strange, I've never broken one on any of mine. This includes my 8yo's B4 I taught him to race with. We've broken probably 100 a-arms over the months teaching him to drive, but never what you're talking about.
