Tekno SCT410 Thread
Last night I ran times at my local track that were better that most of the 8th scales. Granted, it's a small indoor track with a 10 sec lap times being very good. I've only seen a couple of 9.9's, which were all EB48's, but I was turning 10.3's with the SCT last night on Matt Wolters setup. I did use Hot Bodies Beams with AKA foams though. I really felt good about the truck for the first time.
I have his setup ready to go--just gotta get to the track with it now--been working stupid tons of hours!!!

Just want to share this new CVD with your TEKNO guys.
Another option for CVD upgrade if you experienced CVD broken problem.
Should have made the pins longer si the drive cup end............

Material is HD spring steel, can check details from pics.
The most difference is the diameter of screw thread upgrade to 5mm instead of traditional 4mm, for more durability and strength. Pretty nice finished products.
The center front HD CVD will be released soon, I guess.
Cheers!

Will do! I absolutely love this truck (minus the traction rolling issues that I'm having)! I find it funny that you can have so much traction on dirt that you roll over. haha.

I think when you run someone's setup you need to run their setup EXACTLY and analyze from there.
These guys that get their setups posted on the Mfr's sites (like SRAMOS) have spent TONS of time to where even one oil weight or spring change that is deviated can make a HUGE difference.

Hello! I"m from Ukraine ( ex USSR).
small tuning for the suspension strut as native plastic liners hang out!
I am concerned about the noise the main gear, friends said that I would be quieter then you, too, you first made a noise, and then stopped

Yea trying to buy springs to match a setup can be difficult and frustrating.
If Tekno found the shocks to work better with material in there, it would have came with it. My guess is your binding up your suspension.
This truck will make a little more noise than the Losi or Durango or Associated. There are 1/8 scale gears moving in there. Also a mod1 pinion and spur are a little louder than Durango's and Associated's 32 pitch gears. Just make sure the mesh is correct and don't worry about the noise. The gears will also get quieter after you run it for a day or so which it sounds like you noticed.
Happy motoring in the USSR
I run the same as Matt Wolter setup except for HB springs (grays all 4) and a bit different sway bars and droop/height. The tekno machined pistons are better than the kyoshos. Soaks jumps better and almost same pack also because of the more precise fit and thicker piston causing oil to be channeled a bit longer than the thinner kyoshos (IMO not scientific fact
).
).What sway bars and droop settings are you using?
As for the new HD servo spring, are people seeing a need for it on the SCT410 as well or is this mainly an EB48 thing?
