Thanks a lot--love the HW V2.1 ESCs. Have them in all my 1/10 stuff.

Cheers,

Not confused..........I have just never heard of taking away 1/3rd of your brake and throttle travel. It seems kind of counter productive to me, I want and do run as much throttle travel as I can get so my throttle has a smoother feel.

I will probably order my 4 pole 540 from HWNA soon, but I want to get my order to $99 for free shipping, lol. I cant seem to find anything cheap and useful on the site. Like power wire or something. Could maybe get a couple sensor cables.

Not sure if you've seen this comparison or not but the HW is like a 545.
More power than the Tenshock 550 is a smaller package

I have the 3656SD 4700kv.
But a 550 size can would probably give the torque of the 4000kv with the speed of the 4700kv

You can easily get the best of both worlds. Gear up the 4000Kv and it will keep up, or outrun the 4700, while having massive amounts of torque.

Hobbywing already has a 550 can motor. It's a 4.5 turn 4000kv rating.

That's a 2 pole though right?

I think what they have is about as good as it gets... for now anyway. A near 550 size rotor in a slightly longer than 540 can. It stomps on my old Tenshock bottom end and has more top end than the pro4 540.

And then there's the price... winning!

have you flashed it with the latest firmware for the SCT? The new one smooths it out
