Welp guess this is what happens when you don't run 2wd buggy for 3+ months and switch from 4x4 sct as well as coming from only running stock spec buggy to an 8.5 mod buggy.......

I tried taking the triple at my local track at full speed and went to far to the right where it just so happens to have a pole for me to hit smack on my rear tower....... Guess I might have to really put in some track time with a mod motor or switch back to stock lol....

Well, welcome to mod. Did you run at Coyote yesterday. I did. What a disastrous day for me. Couldnt break the bad driving funk except when I ran my son's stock class B4.2. Mod is not easy. I think anybody can run a 17.5. You are getting good when you can control a 6.5 and run a flawless fast pace for a 7 min main. In stock buggy I could have a bad day and still do well. In mod buggy a bad day usually equates to broken parts and lots of frustration.LOL! Practice, practice, practice. Heck, give me a shout and I will go practice with you. I need it!LOL!

Got a chance to try the 3x1.4 tapered pistons today. I run a shorty pack for blinky 17.5. I was running indoors so I started with 32.5/30 black/green. My car was very smooth over the rough stuff but it was bottoming out more then usuall on the big triple so I tried 35/32.5. It landed much better but I definately gave up some of the plush feel over the rough spots on the track. Next weekend im running on a outdoor track thats much smoother and it will probably be in the high 90's. I might stick with 35/32.5 to start out. Any recomendations or thoughts?

Awesome! Can't wait to get mine. Is there enough for a few cars in the pack?

Traditional style up front, flat on the steering links, angled on the rear inner, and I chose to do flat on the outer link here as well. These suckers are BEEFY!

Nah I haven't raced in awhile, Saturday's are really bad for me because I usually go out with friends or busy with something else. I really wanted to race at the summer shootout but I'll be in WA. at the time, so I'll def. pm you my info. once I get back from there. And yes mod buggy is def. harder than stock, I was able to get some good lap times, but staying consistent was hard and once I broke my rear shock tower I knew I def. need alot more practice.......

I can definately see that being a good option. I never had a problem with the rear when I ran the 1.6's. I might give that a shot. Thx

You can do at least two cars with a single package.

I tried the esc on the shelf. It was hard to yell really. I ran on anew track. I will tun it again next week on my home track and see. I didnt notice an anything really wrong with it. The track had a lot of 180's and all but one of then it turned on dime. I seemed to jump fine. The one 180 where i pushed, a few others said that was the only corner they pushed in also. So I just changed my line for that one corner and the buggy was fine. My esc hit my body and that is annoying, but otherwise, it fine. I talked to a local that run roar races often and he told me roar would not let him race with the esc IN the tray. So, I know it was discussed before, but i thought I would share that for anyone running roar races.

Hey guys I have a real quick suspension tuning question.

I run a similar setup to Maifield most of the time. (25C Wolfpack, 7.5 Reedy, etc)

I see that he commonly runs 1 limiter front and rear in his shocks.

How does this affect handling?

I am currently running 3 front and 2 rear.

What can I expect if I change to 1 front and rear?

Thanks!

more droop allows for more dramatic weight transfer front to back and left to right. It will allow more roll in the corners. Also under acceleration more weight will shift back and more forward on braking. Maifields 1 front and 1 rear seems a little bit out there and I think he only ran that once. try it if you like to feel the difference. Also, landing will be a little softer because the wheels will have more down travel.

Default ESC shelf set-up

Switched the 4100 60c shorty , to 5000 25c wolf pack...

IMO
Handling with the shorty is very similar but more aggressive
compared to the standard 25c stick battery ...

smoother power , smoother handling with the 25c stick ...
