The Nomadio system is set for February also... So either I go Spectrum in my 3PK or go for an entirely new radio system.... The thing I like about the Nomadio is it's software upgradable and I don't have to clip anything else onto my radio to ready the telemetry.... Plus each of their transcievers is set to come with rpm and temp sensors....

Default 3PK aftermarket steering wheel options?

The foam on my steering wheel is starting to tear. Before I buy another Futaba wheel, are there any aftermarket options to check out?

Thanks,

Bill

Default 3PK steering wheels

I seem to recall seeing somewhere a billet aluminum looking steering wheel on a TX. Maybe it wasn't for a 3PK...

Seems like there's a market for it if it's not already available for 3PK since it's such a popular radio.

Can't we just modify a regular wheel to fit on the 3PK? Would that be too hard to do?

I think they're just offering it with the synthisized module and not the crystal module..... Probably no other difference.....

I'm not going to buy the Futaba module, I'm waiting on the Spectrum....

the spectrum doesn't use the 27 or 75mhz frequencies. they use the 2.4ghz frequencies commonly used on cordless phones. and virtually no glitching. we'll have to wait and see when they get released which is better as more racer's reports start to come in.
I'm waiting for both to come out then decide which one to get...

Do you guys know how to use / program Fail Save on 3PK + PCM receiver ? I pressed HOLD button as per requested but nothing happen in my car after I turned off the transmitter.

With 3PB ( older model ), the car will be in brake mode after I turn off the transmitter.

Default failsafe setting

try this:
when setting throttle failsafe position - press reset while holding the throttle on your preferred position (neutral or brake)

This is a must. I hated the stock wheel. You will still have to find foam though. Maybe some 1/12 scale donut might work.
