When I received the buggy the U brace was shaved. There was one 1mm spacer under the inner ball link and the link was attached to the innermost hole on the hub tower. I don't think I've seen anyone running that setup.

Thanks,

Chris
it looks like a c hub. I think its the jconcepts c hub. shaved with 1mm under on the inside is normal.

You're right. It looks like the JC C tower.

I haven't seen anyone running the C tower with the short camber link though.

Well I got 1 of my 2 4.2's built today, combined in both kits I had 1 unthreaded rear axle, I was short 1 thrust washer for the ball diff and I was missing one of the bags with the plastic nuts to hold the shocks on and the lower shock bolts. I called AE and they are sending them to me, hopefully soon! Just in case I ordered some extras for the parts box.

I watched a few vids on youtube about building and setting up ball diffs and I think it went pretty well for my first time, I plan on running it a bit tomorrow to see!

Default RPM VS. TORQUE ?

I have a question that I cant seem to find an answer to. What motor is better for 17.5 blinky mode buggy high rpm or more torque?
If there is a thread for this please direct me to it thanks.

I think high torque over rpm

I run the Reedy Mach 2 17.5 and I couldn't be happier has plenty of torque and is super smooth/fast

It probably depends on the type of tracks your running. If your running small tight tracks maybe the Torque motor is better. If you have long open straights then you would probably want the high RPM.

I look at the high torque motors more for Stadium truck and Short Course

it really depends like TP said, but the general rule of thumb is torque for off road. If your referring to the tekin gen2 motors, they will eve tell you torque offroad and rpm onroad.

I like the Reedy Mach 2 motors, pretty smooth and the new endbell is nice.

Done by Larry G. @KustomRCgrapics or as I like to call him Delicious

Going to eventually do both and probably rotate by year with minor tweaks to each he's got some T4.2 bodies in line for me at the moment.
