I can't comment on the VTS slipper 4 pad setup, but, from what I am hearing it sounds like a better VTS 3 pad setup.

If you find that the standard VTS setup doesn't work well for you, I would be open to given the RC Shox Center diff a try or the Exotek Locker clutch.

As for my experiences with the Center diff, I loved it and it performed just like advertised.

Everybody out here in the N/w uses the Vts.

Just look at the results at our big races

Here is a shot of the cDiff installed in my sc10 4x4. Makes the SC10 4x4 a completely different truck (in a good way). Far more controllable in the air and provides smooth consistent power delivery.

Arrows point to pins and diff balls. You add or subtract pins to tune the diff action.

Loose pins and diff balls

Modded spur and diff rings prior to install.

BLAH BLAH BLAH, You realize that no one really listens to your useless bantering right? Last month you were in love with 16mm shocks (the best, nothing better) the Thunder tiger( best short course ever made!!) and the dual disc was the best and then it was the 3 pad VTS which was the ultimate and now its the 4 pad VTS that you have to resand the pads every other battery pack. I am just saying , You really make your self look bad when you change your mind every week like the wind.
Of course the VTS wins at your local track, you bash me and my company every chance you get!! Down here in the south on real tracks the VTS sux azz and is a good 3 seconds slower than the center dif so whats your point?

Exactly, down here the results of the center dif speak for themselves.

Funny how you dont even realize that YOU are the troll

EEEEEEH, why bother, we go through this same thing every month or so. I have made a point not to say anything negative towards you and yet you still go out of your way to say something dumb. It makes sense now that you are the only one out the "AE" group that is not supported by AE AT ALL!! You make the company look bad.

I am done, C YA next month

Will need the updated cover for the VTS if using outdoor.

Indoor you can lose the cover for improve ventation & less weight.

everything you need is included with Vts.
If your interested in getting better performance can add a extra ring & vts pad to make a quad pad Vts.

Quad pad allows a even looser setting for improved traction and less wheel spin.

Im not sure if you got the vts already. I just picked up the upgrade kit. It come with the vts, brace , and covers and saddle pack. it like 58 bucks. i got the whole kit cause it was cheaper than buying them all . I also needed those parts too i guess the main thing is the brace. if you got the vts already then they have a cover upgrade. I woulod think if your stock sct like mines get the upgrade kit with all the goods in one deal.or at least that what i think for now.

Yes after doing some looking and finding his thread here. i think im gonna try the vts out and later after founds allow grab the rc shox diff. for some reason i can see that working really good on a hard packed track with fluff. I tottaly see how that works now seeing the pics and in theory should be great or just grab his pads for the vts. but main thing that is needed right now is some lipos and lipo charger think im gonna try out the saddle pack and single pack.

Default saddle packs

if going saddle pack when my esc say 7.4 volts 2s is best that mean i need two 3.7 volts battery to make a 7.4 volts right and then the mah would be times two also. so if a pack is 400 mah and since there two packs that would then be 800mah. this is gonna be used with a novic 4.5 sytem for this truck. i dont think the c rate would change any. or would it

no prob. To me the main benefit of the Center Diff I found was on medium to lower traction conditions. Not to say it doesnt' work great on high traction, it does, it just shines more on the conditions more.

ProTek R/C 2S "Supreme Power" Li-Poly 100C Hard Case Saddle Battery (7.4V/5500mAh) This would be the pack i need to run saddle or od do i need the 3.7 volts to make 7.4 confused never had lipo before. and also i would think since each pack is 5500 mah that would be times 2 correct and if that the case then i would be at 14.8 volts and that would be too much for the novic esc then.

For batteries, saddle packs are 2 1S batteries. When you run shorties, you are wiring them in parallel.

For batteries, I would suggest the saddle lipos from Promatch or SMC as well as there higher mah 7200mah stick packs if you go that route.

I use the 7200mah 80C Promatch batteries as for the price, they offer a 1 year warranty. Excellent batteries.

I found that the Speed Passion GT2.0 Pro ESC powers that motor fine for a nice price. I alsolike the fact it can do 4 Pole 540 motors too.

That said, there are a variety of other escs that can do it too.
