Took a couple little video clips of my first run with the Clocked Picco Boost. I was running with my buddy in a agama truck with a novarossi bonito. Mugen Truggy orange and white
M2C clutch with 4-1.0's and 13t clutch bell and Nova 9886 pipe with 41029 header, so far the best combo from the werks 2058 and 9886 with short header 41001. Still 1st time out with it though.

I like battling like that with someone especially in practice so its more relaxed and you can wait for them or vise versa. I had a smile on my face the whole time watching you guys go at it.

Would that list be the same for if you were after the best engine for a combined runtime/holding a tune (or one tune working ok for the widest range of conditions) even if that cost a little bit of pure performance?

As a general rule all the engines are quite good at holding a tune once they are tuned correctly...... Usually when a engine chronically needs to be re-tuned its a sign of a underlying mechanical issue, as a healthy engine should rarely need to be needled......Its not uncommon for me to run several gallons of fuel and not touch my needles once....And this goes for any of the engines I have listed.....Most peoples issue is they don't let the engine properly warm up and try to tune on the starter box, which ends up throwing everything off once they get onto the track..............

Josh got to race in round 1 of the Minnesota Off-Road Series over the weekend, good thing the race was in a dome as we got 10 inches of snow at the track Thursday eve. Practice started around noon on Friday to melting snow outside and cool temps in low 40's, was confident in his Mugen truggy set up as it was same as he ran there last fall including the same clocked Bonito. He was right, went out and TQ'd all 3 rounds, engine ran flawless even with the switch to the new Byron's Worlds blend which has less overall oil but more castor. Main didn't go his was, blew 3 tires off if the rims even though he had run them in a round of qualifying with no issues, I switched them but he then broke a servo horn screw off flush in the servo a lap later.
In buggy, josh opted for the P5 with latest mods but not team addition because of the cold temps, practiced a lot a with his MBX7 and was ready for qualifying, TQ'd 2 of 3 rounds, a mistake on final lap cost him the 3rd TQ. Car, engines, tires, everything was great going into main on Sunday, but the weather was cooler and light rain outside the dome. It caused the track to have more moisture in it and this dirt then gets greasy. So wrong tires for main, still took 5th but disappointing after doing so well in qualifying.
Lots of comments on the engines, like how does he handle all the power and they sound plain mean..Josh has run Neal's engines for a couple years now and loves them.
Josh does not ever great fuel, mileage but he is a very aggressive driver and hard on the throttle to which Nick and Neal, will confirm.. Just happy that he can safely do 7.5 minute pit stops in buggy, sometimes 9 in Truggy.

Just want to Thank, John and Neal for help this weekend... I was at a Rc Pro series race and had my exhaust pipe damaged during a practice session. I sent John a email, he forwarded it to Neal. Neal got back to me and advised me on which pipe I had as a backup would be the better choice. Needless to say, I ran and took home 3rd in the A main for open truggy. Great customer service like this is why I am proud to run Clockwork Racing Engines for the 2013 RC season.
Thanks
Thanks

I just wanted to say thank you to Neal for the excellent advice for running and tuning the new engines. I am very pleased with the expert help and quick service that has been provided. Not to mention the ridiculously powerful engines. The biggest difference I noticed inside these engines is the very different approach to modding an engine. Instead of deep grooves being cut along the sleeve, for example, the engines are simply recalibrated so to speak and this makes the most usable power I have seen to date. I can see why the 9886 pipe is recommended because it helps these monsters breathe although the 2096 smoothed out the monster torque on the p5 the btt absolutely loved the 9886. Every thing Neal has suggested has worked out perfectly.
I am the one that usually has all the answers, but Neal is my answer guy for sure. His engines cost a little more, but when you get them out on the track they are worth every penny. No doubt about it. Thanks again. eh...

Neil, you stated that I have a case problem on the buku thread. I did swap cases as my other one wasn't perty. BTW, this is not my clocked B6 that has the issue. A cooler plug cured that.
This is a straight B6. The case looks like brand new inside and out. The crank is also in nice shape to.I installed a ceramic rear bearing and a standard steel bearing. Like I said, it leaked right away. So the buku cap should solve my issue? Thanks for your time...
