Pretty sure they are 2wd Pressure Points. I didn't get a chance to ask Jason after the race but they look cool. Ryan was doing some testing after everything was over as well. They're definitely a pre-production tire, though. Not sure how well they worked. Track conditions were mixed dirt/clay that black grooved and was slightly dusty all day. Most of the team drivers were running green Bar Codes at the end of the day. Saturday and earlier today Pressure Points worked better, but as the dust came up everyone was looking for forward traction. Also, a few guys ran Gold compounds that I saw, and heard squealing, and they looked really hooked up as well.

Got to run my second race since switching to the shorty lipo. First time was a small indoor clay track but this was a medium size outdoor clay with tons of grip. I definately had the fastest car today. I was the only one in the main to clock a few 18 second laps. I like the way it handles much better then a full pack. So much more responsive plus dropping the weight doesnt hurt in stock 17.5 either. I am sold on this setup from now.

Just broke front shock tower on my b4.2.

Any recommendations for replacement? The one that I broke was the stock tower provided with the original kit.

Thanks.

If you cant find a b4.2 tower just pick up a regular one. You will have to space out the upper shock mount a little for shock clearance but the rest is the same.

It's funny, the front and rear shock towers are teh ONLY thing on my FT B4.1 that I HAVEN'T broke, and are still original. My 4.1 is pretty beat and ready to be retired from racing so it looks like I may put 4.1 towers on the replacement 4.2 right away, while they're still available. I don't mind replacing the occasional front A-Arm but replacing a rear shock tower (or even a front) will likely start annoying me fast.

When you say "regular one" do you mean b4 front shock tower?

Thanks Matt.

I don't get it. Your going to put your old 4.1 towers on your 4.2? Why is that?

I have read a lot of good things here about the exotek rear hubs, however they are only for "a" location. Besides shaving the hub 2mm to achieve "c" location, any other tricks?
