Is that a Gforce engine? If so, how do you like it? What's the kv?

Thanks

Austin Blair's setup
Track is packed south carolina clay, with minor to moderate loose surface dust/debris
Stock pistons but kyosho light blue / orange
Proline holeshots
cvd's in front slight down angle, slight up angle in rear

Good acceleration, shoots straight, but rear end was pretty loose. I don't mind the rear a bit loose, but this was a little too much. It was coming around on me when landing jumps slightly sideways on higher speed corners, etc. I have some possible ideas, but wanted to know what you guys think first.

Take out some anti squat- I noticed the same issue after I built mine to the manual spec and found it made a big difference preventing the rear from coming around. Like mentioned above some people have also found improvement by removing the rear/middle chasis brace, I only have the rear brace off and prefer to keep the middle one installed.

It is. For the price, it looks like it may be hard to beat. I am way undergeared as I used one of my truggy pinions since USPS lost my 15-17t set in the mail. So it has a 14t in it right now and is a screamer 2250. (not related to the loose rear I posted about).

Thanks for the reply.

I'd take off rear brace at least. I'm not sure what dirt type you're driving, but outdoors I seem to like AKA Cityblocks (or equivalent) best. Are you running stock shock oil wts?

South cackilacky clay Red, relatively packed surface, but loose dust of 1mm to 5mm on surface. Went with 40/35 since it gets pretty warm (95-105 degrees) on race nights but can adjust accordingly as that was just the build to see how it works.

Testing a truggy, yes, I have a nitro trigger I can't kill

OK, first off, I race with Austin. Austin is a super fast twitch driver. His car looks like it is always right on the ragged edge. He is an amazing driver, but probably not the best guy to copy a setup from.

Starting with his DNC setup:
Front shock out on tower
Heavier front sway bar (+ 1-2 steps)
Lighter rear bar (- 1-2 steps)
5K center diff oil
2 degrees antisquat
Also note that he is limiting the droop on the rear shocks by 5mm

Try that and see if you like it better.

+1 for a track that has a loose/dusty top and hard pack underneath.

I'd start with
1 Mess with the braces
2 get some cityblocks

if still not satisfied
3 try 2.5 wt less oil in rear

want more
4 mess with shock positions...etc

It's really hard to give you a good route w/ how everyone's driving style varies. I recommend step 4 last because I'm not sure what suits your style.

Nitro trigger can be helped, not eliminated, with controller settings. I pin it way too much also, but settings helped me a bit.

Just like with the truck try moving the rear hub forward, I like it. Also you might have the wrong tire....

These are great on hard pack and dusty tracks.......

Familiar with the cityblock, my favorite tire on the truggy for that same track.

Thanks for the recommendation guys. This is my first e-buggy and it's obviously quite different from many, so wanted to see your thoughts before going to tweak.

Stock antisquat (hole up top) is what, 4? Also, the 8x13 seem to be sold out just about everywhere. Worth still pursing, pick another brand, or stick with stock for now? Seems like a huge percentage was moving away from stock.

Almost all of the team drivers run without the rear and center braces , in fact Austin Blairs DNC setup doesn't use them .

Finally finished my build. I prefer feel and control to weight so I added Traktion drive and mechanical brakes. However I added CF towers and braces to recoup some weight.

Front tower

Rear tower

Traktion srive with 15T clutchbell. Also added a Hobbywing heatsink with a "PIMP size" cooling fan

Mechanical brakes

Overall the build was pretty straight forward, however the mechanical brakes made me lose my frickin mind trying to get the cams to engage the pads enough to stop the buggy
