Question:
Is anyone using the XXX 12 ball diff gear in their buggy instead of the 14 ball gear that comes stock? I know GrandTurk mentioned he is doing it as advised by Casper in his 22SCT, I was just wondering if anyone is doing it in the buggy as well.....

I am running the 12 ball diff in all my cars right now with my thrust bearing. Works great.

Im not sure why my works fine and does not get sloppy like the plastic did,i have been running my tlr rack for close to a year now outdoors and indoors.P.S it only got stuck when i oiled it.if you leave it dry it doesnt get stuck.
Wow, makes me want a 12 ball diff now. Makes sense why they are so finicky, why the screw breaks, and why the thrust grenades. Why hasn't Losi replaced with a 12 ball diff already?

I feel the XXX gear spins better in the tranny as well. It is a very minor difference but you can sense it when spinning the tranny in your hand. I have been running them for a little while now with good success. It puts the balls more centered in the rings as well instead of out by the edge.

I thought and have built it with one short neck on the rack and one on the horn. They connect to each other via the servo link assembly. The longer ones are for the steering turnbuckles. Therefore, I think..... two longer ones on the rack for steering, a short neck on the rack and a short neck on the horn for servo function. That's what I have anyway....
Also, you guys might be interested to know a 22 won the Australian nationals 1/10 off road championships on an outdoor high bite dirt track, very much like the Cactus classic. Two major things about it was due to the high grip (massive amounts of sugar), the 22 was mid mount which like you guys is unheard of on our outdoor tracks but the grip warranted it and paid off. The second thing is finally the AE's in Australia were silenced. Here's a link...

Lastly, please take a look at the attached pic. This is happening with my slipper after one run. I must be doing something wrong - any ideas? I am just running with it like this and seems to be fine because I am not going to keep buying loads of slipper plates and pads - it's expensive enough buying everything else but it would be effecting performance I'm sure. Please let me know your thoughts....
