quick question? after i built my kit i noticed i had 2 or 4 e-clips left over from building the shocks? is that normal? i have no problems with the shocks or car at all and have looked over the shocks and everything... Everything seems fine just curious if that is normal?

I think a few extra e clips in normal, its when you have extra screws that I start to worry, HAHA.
On a side note, jumping back to the top shaft discussion, has anyone tried the X-Factory top shaft? Looks like it mat be a different material. Wonder if it lasts a little longer?

i haven't been on here since i suggested mip top shafts and avid slippers to reduce your rotating mass and run 69/35 gearing.....
glad to see some of you have listened...
the rest will catch on soon enough!
PS These tricks helped me to a 15th overall at the Australian titles last weekend in 17.5 2wd Buggy....they work.- First ever National event by the way.....

I actually ran stock buggy the other day, and it was a lot of fun. I just throw on the regular 2-plate slipper and run it. I don't think I even botherd checking it, but I was 2 laps up on the regular 17.5 pace. I miss mod =(

Only Cav has the "special" shock shafts
+1 or have friends with the proper tool sets
+1 green slime and blue thread lock
I have 4 extra from my build this week.
The reduction of rotational mass is something I ponder a lot!

Do you use the precision racing systems pinion gears?
They are coated alloy and have lightning holes... I just weighed my new
36t it comes in @ 2.6g & FYI a 34t Robinson racing steel item is 7.4g !!
Easy savings, massive gains

I am lucky in that dropping weight just seems to hurt the handling of the car. And clearing the jumps is cake in 17.5. I could see how at the local indoor track dropping weight could help. There are 3 jumps that it might help with and of course quicker corning in the infield. If I was competitive I would spend the money. But I am just lap traffic, lol. So no point.
