Hey guys,
Just bought a gxII 5rho and am wondering about glow plugs. I know that everyone says use the o'donnell 97t plug, but was also wondering if anything else is any good?
Will basically any medium turbo plug work? Like the novarossi c6tgc or c6tgf, or any of the other medium turbo plugs. Just wondering what other options I have
Cheers

GX II parts will fit the GX engines but they are slightly different, like the lip size on top edge of the sleeve, I read that the GX II 5r engine sleeve has a lip thats .5mm thicker & the top of the crank case lip where it sits is .5mm deeper to compensate.

Ive been racing GO Engines since last 2 1/2 years, and as of now im working in remote with the factory for some mods on the .25 engine for Truggy and GT Class ... and pushing hard to get a new distributor for USA.
In southamerica GO is fine, it win races, nice prices, awesome quality and fantastic factory support ...

Tho I may be wrong, they are not the same. GXII is tapered on the head side of the burn room. pic shows it upside down.

What's the story with the Go G5T? Is this a powerful engine?
I'm keen on an Alpha A852, but there's a great offer going in Germany for the G5T including 2072 pipe..., for way less than just the A852.. I want power though. Kinda' keen on the hard ano 2072 the Go comes with as well..
(If I understand correctly, the 2072 is a big power pipe that goes well on lots of engines....)

I have been running GXII motors all year with the 3 needle carb, this is how i run mine ... lsn needs to be about 1/2 to 3/4 turn out from flush, any leaner and you starve the motor of fuel at idle, msn as you have it flush, hsn, all my motors are 1 1/2 plus turns in from flush, even while running in i was over 1 full turn in...ldle gap i run is around 0.5-0.7mm depending on how much compression they have, also use the GO2072 pipe with these motors.
What is confusing with some of the carbs the factory supplys is they flush all the needles, that means lsn and hsn are way off.
I run 25% and 30% nitroX fuel OD 97 plugs and factory shimming.
