Im probably going to get the new towers and the big bores.
I hope they sell them in a set that a way if you wanna upgrade your SC10 FT you can.
Heck it just might be cheaper to buy the whole thing.
But having an upgrade kit would be nice.

The talk of gear diffs a few pages back got me thinking...I grow a bit weary of my truck cooking through ball diffs faster than my buggy and stadium truck. What weight oil is typically run in a gear diff in a relatively small indoor clay track with probably 6 180's and one sweeper and medium to high bite?

I got sick of my ball diff too. I kept busting the thrust bolts at the head of the bolt. Put in a gear diff the other day with 5000 weight oil and it feels OK. Probably not as quite as nice as the ball diff, but I'll take the ease of use and lack of constant maintenance for the small difference I've noticed.

I would not expect any of the new parts for some time. maybe 1-2 months.

By the time you "upgrade" your sc10, you could just sell it and buy a 10.2 for cheaper.

See above, for a full upgrade to a 10.2, just sell your truck and buy a new one.

You were doing it wrong. People that hate the ball diff normally have no idea on how to build, maintain or adjust them. I have used ball diff for 20 years and i have never burned one up or broken an AE diff screw. Broke a losi one once, but losi diff are meh. AE/MIP have very good ball diffs.

For anyone using the gear did, I would use 2 seals when building. It really helps cut back on the leaking.

Wanted to mention to the SC10 crowd that a project I've been working on is finally available for the iOS platform.

Hookd RC is a setup management tool that supports a wide variety of short course vehicles, but is currently optimized for the SC10, SC10B, and B4 platforms.

In addition to several useful tools and references, users can save multiple versions of virtually every aspect of your setup for multiple vehicles, and export them to the factory setup sheets published by AE.

Check it out if you feel so inclined - I'd love to hear any feedback. This project started last fall as a means to enter, organize, and share my race setup data, and I think you'll find it valuable as well. Setup sheets for more vehicles will be added with each release, but for now the experience for SC10/SC10B/B4 users is really nice.

Thanks for your time.

Wonder how much different the shock package will be on the front with the new tower and arms, the old xxxsct front shock locations are pretty close to the .2 and that truck was really smooth suspension wise,if this will change my truck to handle like that its a huge improvment

For guys that have put gull wing arms on did you need to grind down where the arm attaches to the chassis? My scb gull arms seem to be narrower where the hinge pin is than the standard arms?

Thanks,
