RC10B4.1 FT/WC
If your track is high traction you could use the graphite front arms. This will numb the responsiveness of the steering. After that you could try the graphite top plate and rear U brace. This will also calm everything down. The B4 loves to have slop, makes it more forgiving and takes away the twitchyness.

Hey guys I'm wanting to get into racing and I have an 1/8 buggy but I am considering getting a b4.1 world's car just to start out.. trying to be a better racer. Would this be the right way to go?
Thanks in advance

i can say that 2WD buggy will make you a better driver. i raced Stadium truck nitro, 1/8 nitro buggy, and 1/18th stadium truck back in the day. and i havent driven in 5 years or so. but within the first 3 days of practicing with my B4 i am much more consistant than i ever was. it will make you focus more on every aspect. a 1/8th buggy can be corrected in mid-air with ALOT more control than a 2WD 1/10th. you also have to be alot more careful when exiting turns as well as pick your lines with more "finesse" to be fast.
the B4 is also a reliable car with tons of settup info. i would call it a great beginners car.

I agree with mat, I got the b4.1 just for a stock rtr extra car to run, but ended up stripping down most of stock parts and going to like a b4.2 car with a tekin and 17.5t motor and I can surely tell you that my driving has been much faster and consistent with a 2wd car. After a few runs, I tried my bros b44.2 and I was shaving even more seconds down and ran 4wd faster than I have before. Now I can run against 4wd with 2wd just as fast :P

Dust and dirt INSIDE the tranny is not normal. Are you racing it or driving it on the beach? I would tear it down and clean it. I am not sure how it is getting in. Even when I race on a dusty track the inside are never dusty. you can try to seal the tranny with a very light amount of grease where the tranny halves connect. but you might want to explain what type of surface you are racing on.
Hope you have fun with your new kit

oh haha, I am running the tekin RS... there is no need for the pro unless your planning to move to 4wd car in the future. As for my motor, I got the expressmotorsport d3.5 that has been outlawed, now I can't even race it at my track x_X But anyways, my bro has the tekin 7.5t gen2 and all has been running well with it.

I had talked to mashimarowu about ESC's & wanted to recommend the speed passion reventon r, but had not run the ESC, so I couldn't in good faith say it was a good ESC. I own one now & can absolutely say it's a great ESC! I was running a tekin RS pro in my b4.1 (it's in my b44 now) & can unequivocally say the reventon is MUCH smoother. The tekin does have some program features the reventon doesn't have (push control, throttle curves, & much finer steps for the settings that are the same), but everything you will actually use on a regular basis is there. The reventon r comes with a program card to change the settings with out a laptop (Hotwire & a laptop are a must for any tekin). You can also get a wifi or Bluetooth card for it so you can change your settings on an iPhone or android from the drivers stand while the car is pulled over in a safe spot on the track. I will caution that reventons have issues with viper, gen2 tekin, & sometimes lrp motors (although I am running an lrp x12 8.5t I did have problems with another one).
Sorry I didn't get you to go ahead & be my guinea pig mashimarowu

Maybe in the future if no other good electronics comes out, I will try an SP reventon pro with reedy mach 2 motors?
