I use to hate 17.5. After the influx of 17.5 at some of the tracks here in the Phx. area and being forced to run it, I actually like it better. Even if tracks turn back to 13.5 I will continue to run 17.5 for now.

I still have not made it out to Canyon Vista so don't have much room to talk but since you are so into buggy with the smaller motor why don't you run at Competition more. If I had that facility in closer I don't know if I would ever leave?

You need to plan a trip up here for the new W3 when it gets going. That is going to be a kick ass facility

I plan to run all of the phoenix tracks this year. Have run glitch and srs, so far. One hobbies and w3 is next on my list. CH is nice and bad all at once. I love indoor racing. But I wont get into the CH issues on this thread, but yes the facility is soooo nice.

Are you running them front and rear? and with what springs?

I put togeather another pair of shocks and had some avid 2+2 pistons (1.6x1.1) and ran 32/30 oil with the pink/gold x gear springs and it felt pretty good on our fresh layout but i think it might be better with the green/white ae springs.
I have them front and rear, Avid springs yellow front red back.

I found a good overall starting point was with Avid 1.5x1.1 F/R with Avid Yellow Springs F/R, 30/27.5

Anyone try the Avid standoffs yet? I imagine they work well, but has anyone really had any real issues with the metal standoffs with metal shock caps?

i just use the RTR plastic stand offs..... use Blue alum washers to space it and you wouldn't even notice at first glance

RTR bushings here too. I just use a small 4-40 nut (with locktight), and haven't had an issue. I did add a .030 washer, in addition to the nut on the front tower.

Using the standard length ones on all my vehicles, they work great. With the delrin bushing you won't get the metal/metal wear.

I have them on mine and they are DIALED! no slop and no metal to metal grinding and stealthy black.
