Thanks
John

I had some great results moving the rear hubs forward 2 thick spacers and moving the rear camber link to the number 3 position on the shock tower. I kept the camber -1°.

Thanks for the info what your saying is take the two thick washers from the front and put behind the carrier and move the camber link to # 3

Thanks

About the only thing I noticed that could use some tuning was the slow speed turning, it seems to push a little or understeer. But, I am coming from a 2wd SC10 which oversteers like crazy so I probably just need to get used to the 4x4 steering behavior.
It takes a little bit to get used to coming from a 2wd. You can change things like the diff oils and sway bars to make it turn better but just try giving it a little throttle next time. I usually brake in the straight before the turn then drive around the turn.

There's other ways to do this it's just how I drive. Good luck, enjoy that truck, and post some videos!

Cool. Get someone to film you with their phone and post it. Even better get someone to film it before and after.

Just got my kit. So far best experience building a kit. Manual and packaging are awesome. Only 1 issue. Tekno left out the #450 shock oil. I received 1-#350 shock oil, 2- #3000 diff, 1-#5000 diff, and 1-#7000 diff.

All I can say is the truck feels absolutely perfect on the bench. I can drop it from over a foot and its like I dropped it on fly paper. The chassis doesn't slap. The shocks just compress and then smoothly return to ride height and stop.

Don't know how it will behave on the track, but I really doubt I'll have to do too much more tuning. It just feels too good on the bench to very far off.
Looking forward to your testing results. The whole bench drop test though from what I have read can be misleading if you are dropping it flat since the conditions where the issues that need to be simulated involve the suspension not compressing evenly as a standard bench drop, all flat, wouldn't show.

Not saying that is what you did, etc. just wanted to bring that up as from what I saw when I did the whole bench drop test stuff, it was different on the track (different vehicle, same principles).

wonder if someone wanted to really run with the whole bench drop stuff, have elevated areas on the target site to simulate the different compression angles that take place at the track?

Here, if the weather gets any better I may take the Tekno outside and see how it goes on some jumps I'll setup on my driveway, see if I can get the same kind of effect I was seeing indoors carpet at least from big lip jumps where there is not a nice takeoff area.

I find what spring rate first, all middle location tower and arm. Then I pick the oil and go from there. I get everything fairly close with balance. I do this with most common springs i will be using for track normally 2-3 different spring rates for both front and rear. Then I have a oil range for each different spring rate make a chart or table. As a hint my shock oils are normally little bit heavier than team drivers setup sheets. I setup my rc racing cars to what I like not what pros run. I don't drive like them. What they like and what I like is 2 different things. Are they close yes.

Thanks, I think with more practice it won't be a big deal. I'll try to get some videos at the race this weekend.

Just a general question, seeing how many of you out there run a dragbrake and if so how much? I'm running 10% right now on our tighter technical track
