Tekno SCT410 Thread

Ok ran my truck for the first time last night and I have to say it's amazing I put 4 battery packs thru it and it never missed a beat. Here is my problem I set the truck up box stock and it seemed to be very close but I am fighting a loose condition I know some of it is due to the tires but I think I need to do a little tuning to get the rear end to settle down anyone have any suggestions my ride height is set at 26mm and my camber is -1.
Thanks

I had some great results moving the rear hubs forward 2 thick spacers and moving the rear camber link to the number 3 position on the shock tower. I kept the camber -1°.

Just got done with my first practice night with my new SCT410. I gotta say, it exceeded all my expectations
So much fun and drives great right out of the box. I ran the bone stock setup per the manual, jumped well, hooked up good, and those big shocks soaked up all the funky bumps and pot holes no problem. About the only thing I noticed that could use some tuning was the slow speed turning, it seems to push a little or understeer. But, I am coming from a 2wd SC10 which oversteers like crazy so I probably just need to get used to the 4x4 steering behavior.

Good luck, enjoy that truck, and post some videos!

Just got my kit. So far best experience building a kit. Manual and packaging are awesome. Only 1 issue. Tekno left out the #450 shock oil. I received 1-#350 shock oil, 2- #3000 diff, 1-#5000 diff, and 1-#7000 diff.

Will do. I just finished filling the shocks. The lightest oil I had was AE 27.5 so I used that in the rear shocks and put AE 30 in the front.
All I can say is the truck feels absolutely perfect on the bench. I can drop it from over a foot and its like I dropped it on fly paper. The chassis doesn't slap. The shocks just compress and then smoothly return to ride height and stop.
Don't know how it will behave on the track, but I really doubt I'll have to do too much more tuning. It just feels too good on the bench to very far off.

Not saying that is what you did, etc. just wanted to bring that up as from what I saw when I did the whole bench drop test stuff, it was different on the track (different vehicle, same principles).
wonder if someone wanted to really run with the whole bench drop stuff, have elevated areas on the target site to simulate the different compression angles that take place at the track?
Here, if the weather gets any better I may take the Tekno outside and see how it goes on some jumps I'll setup on my driveway, see if I can get the same kind of effect I was seeing indoors carpet at least from big lip jumps where there is not a nice takeoff area.

Do you remember the first time you did it and how much it affected your setup if you had to make other changers to get back what you needed on the rest of the car? What spring rates do you have balanced now? and what car? I think most stock setups out of the box would be very close to balanced. and that this is to get the car back in line after much messing with springs.

It takes a little bit to get used to coming from a 2wd. You can change things like the diff oils and sway bars to make it turn better but just try giving it a little throttle next time. I usually brake in the straight before the turn then drive around the turn.
There's other ways to do this it's just how I drive. Good luck, enjoy that truck, and post some videos!
