SC10 4x4 Thread
Sorry to say but the only way to get ahead of tekno's is if they break
Don't want to sound negative but I have had this truck for a year and put almost every mod on this truck and its just a inferior truck. When a guy went to tekno from the losi first weekend he had it he won and he was never the fastest guy not even top 4 at my track I'm lucky to be top 8 out of 20 in my sc10.
Hate to give up but just think I'm fighting the truck now to be faster or to keep up.

lol. I am actually glad to see some guys coming on here defending the SC10 4x4. Its a nice change to be honest, maybe this will be the new crop of people to take the SC10 4x4 to the next level.
And as those unbiased know, the main thing that matters is how well the vehicle does for you. Posted results only show that the vehicle has it in it to win in that drivers hands, if you can't wheel it, doesn't really help you much that So and So won this event with it, even more so if the track conditions are different than yours as well.
If any of you are having issues though getting your truck to hook up, please post your setup, your conditions, etc.
And don't be afraid to try some of the things mentioned on the thread. You may find what works for one person in one way, isn't what you are seeing (+8mm mod for example).
And as those unbiased know, the main thing that matters is how well the vehicle does for you. Can you elaborate on the +8 mod. Also I run on a smooth track. And I love the M2C shock pistons I have in my FT.

This is usually the common complaint people have in these conditions when they say the rear end of the truck comes around on them.
People with driving and tuning skills beyond myself have reported this. Luckily there is a fix. Hopefully AE in a revision of the truck will address this with having the rear toe in settings tunable like on their other kits.

I haven't raced on loose conditions yet but you should be able to take away some steering to make it not as tail happy.

I recommend however you try it and see what you think.
I also think that the exotek rear hub carriers are a nice feature to do a variety of hub heights and test and tune from there.
Your bet bet in my opinion is to get the rear to hook up as needed.
The M2C rear toe in block or something similar that gives you the extra toe in does that for you, without having ot mess with other settings on the rear that could adversely affect the handling characteristics of the car through bumps, etc.
You then scrub time in comparison to other vehicles when you try to make the turns where previously the rear stepping out was an issue, now you are fighting the steering input level to get the vehicle to turn.

)... it does all depend on how you tune it out... i wont be able to do out door for atleast another month due to north east coldness...

All I'm trying to say is yes the truck is fine on carpet yes the truck is fine on a tight indoor track with insane grip but in my case I have a huge blown outdoor track that I go to and the truck is not right at all to be fast like the other heavy trucks.

Helps free the truck truck up on the sweeper and lets it slide instead of digging in and rolling over ...
If your racing indoor clay suggest you to try....
Will need to purchase a B4 C-hub , 12 mm ball stud & spacers
Easy & fun to do ...

Need some help with the 8mm mod with exotek hubs. What spacers do I put on the hub and what spacers go on the shock tower? I run on a indoor track that is some what bumpy that starts out high traction and by the end of the race will be medium traction. I am having trouble keeping the rear under it in the high speed turns.
