Are you sure with this? would be GREAT

A friend off mine is a Mugen driver and there is no plan to release a MBX7 any soon, he talked about end of the year

From Tekno:

Hello Eric,
We just got our MBX7 kit the other day and we are in the process of putting it together. From there we can start designing the chassis for the car, etc., etc.
It is looking like a month or more. I would check back in a month and I can give you a more definitive answer.

That conversion should come together very quickly. I understand that the diff cases are the same from the 6 to 7 so all of their positioning models from the 6 kit will be useful. They just need to make the "ears" on the chassis wider to catch the droop screws, place the center diff and they're done.

So do you do the conversion kit now or just wait for the new eco kit to come out?

Running soft pack LiPo's, I use velcro to help prevent the battery from moving forward or backward under hard impacts.

Before the 7, I also would move the battery in the tray to vary the weight distribution. The velcro would maintain the battery position, keeping it from sliding.

For those that are interested, Nitrohouse.com announced that they will be producing a MBX7e conversion kit that comes with a Tim Bump chassis.

I just converted my mbx7 to electric but i tried using one of my plastic spurs from the 6 eco and it does not fit or something because when i tighten the gear down it will not let the diff turn any more and the gear does not appear to be all the way seated. does anyone no if the is a difference in the diff case or whats different about it. I had no prob with the metal gear.

The diff cases for the 7 are smaller than the 6. The side of the spur and conical gears for the 7 that face the inside of the diff case are more flat compared to the 6 that drops into the diff case. With my 7 e-conversion, I have used the 7's complete center diff or the 6 complete center diff with nylon spur, but never mixed the parts from one to the other.

+1. 7 diff case is ~2mm shallower and the "pad" where the sun gear mount on the spur/ring gears is almost flush with the mounting surface (unlike the "pad" on the 6 ECO plastic spur gear).

My center diff uses all 6 ECO parts. Front and rear diffs are all 7 parts.

The spider gears are common between the two.

Did I miss the release date? Would be a nice option once my current chassis is ready for replacement....
