Use some light sandpaper and scuff them in,I heard that helps a lot breaking them in,when there new there really slick,on my buggy I used sauced up gold barcodes and they were really good with little to no wear at all.

The factory team truck is allum .5 rear hubs. The bearing fit much tighter then the 0 hubs.

Unless they changed something the Factory Team SC10 never came with aluminum hubs. Always came with the regular plastic hubs (used the 3/16 x 3/8 bearing on both sides).

Sweet thanks for the tip...my track only allows simple green on tires...No other doping allowed.

you could spray them with wd40 and stick them in a bag,,just make sure you wipe the tire off before you put in on the track,my buddy did that to soften up a pair of tires

@Matt the truck i am running i got from a friend,he ran it twice i believe and didnt do anything to it and it has the hubs, ill have to ask him about it.

Technically, wouldn't it be SC10.1?

Sure but I would bet it would jump to sc10.2 if the content was the same. I was considering getting a T4.2 and move the good stuff to my old SC10 but if I did that I might as well get the B4.2. LOL. I would love to see the SC10 upgrade come out. Why are they waiting? DO they have more changes planned for that chassis beyond shocks, arms and FT upgrades? Or is there enough interest in parts sales that they don't feel they NEED to release this?

My SC10 is a 2009 vintage T4 FT converted to a SC10. I have V2 slipper, V1 shocks, STRC 0.5 hubs and JC Wheel hexes. The body mounts are like butter now so it is time for a new kit.

they seem to be backlogged on parts. most of the "new" parts for the t4.2 are not in stock most places. Since the sc10.2 would share most of those parts, it might be a manufacturing thing.

Good point. That could be why they release the T4.2 first as well. I have to believe that truck sales are not as high as short course but I have no idea. It would be cool to see those kind of sales numbers. The B4.2 seems to be selling a lot. I hear people like it more than the Losi 22!

it is my guess that the t4.2 was release first because it was created first. Seems silly I know and they might also want to pump some life into the ST class with new cars. Heck, they did the b44.2 before the b4.2 and no one even raced 4x4 buggy, lol. They could also be testing the sc10b arms more on the sc10 to verify that is how they want to ship them. Reports from racers seems to be split on the old arms/towers vs the new sc10b arms and towers.

Curious to know what you heard that was not liked if the opinion is split. I'm about to slap it all on my truck this weekend.

A couple people said it made the truck twitchy and others said it really calmed it down in the corners. I have been wanting to test it, but so hard to find the arms and towers. Lol, I saw the arms, front bulked and hexes for the sc10b (parting out) on ebay go for $60. Just because people want the arms that bad, lol.

Case in point, lol

I'm cautious to try it but lucked into getting two sets of arms and towers. I've seen enough new drivers beat on the SCB that I believe the arms will be stout but having the second set got me to make the plunge. I dremmeled some places on the front mount to lay it flat on the tower and had to buy new(longer) posts.. the front mount will be slightly lower and forward than the current kit but it was easier than I thought it would be. Absolutely love the way it drives now after the last 'mod'-it was leaving it on the shelf for 6 straight months and a solid diet of nothing but 2wd buggy. That's the best 'mod' I've ever found for short course. I guess I'll know next Tuesday if I like it and if not I'll be making a post on Ebay on Wednesday
