To me it sounds like there may be electrical interference from that drivers stand. Get the guy to make sure he physically grounds the drivers stand to the dirt. Just having it sit on top of the ground is no good. He needs a cable bolted from the stand to a solid grounding rod to bleed off static and other interference.
How come your DCX doesn't fit in your mugen?? It fits in mine just fine. TTYL.

Thanks for the info, I will talk to him about it. As for the DCX, I also run 1/12th, and it is too big for that. I didn't want to have to buy two different sets of crystals, so I just bought the Hitec entry level system, and a couple of mini receivers to use. This way, I can use the same crystals in all my cars.

This year I am running the XXX(not a KE) the XXX-NT(not Drake) and the Mugen XR Buggy. I'll be getting the Drake truck when Its available, and also a new XXX KE. My buggy is on its third season and is starting to wear(at least for my tastes). TTYL.

have any1 used a high end radio like m8 etc, b4 changing to lynx 3d?
any difference? in terms of performance, features, n comfort?
n the batt compartment, can it contain other type of batt other than the batt pack that comes with it?
i've never seen the actual lynx 3d except from internet pics.
so can any1 tells mi how does u all rate the appearance, or any comments?
say from (1) for bad looking to (5) beautiful
does the appearance have bad comments on the radio?

I had an M8 right before I switched to the 3D.
The 3D fits my hands much better than the M8 did.
The only other radio that feels close to the 3D is the 3ps.
It depends on which version of the 3D you get. One comes with Nicads and the other model is made for Alkaline. You can buy either tray and have both.
Performance is better with the 3D and DCX Rx.
The DCX is DUAL CONVERSION.
You can also get the Spectra/Xxtra combo and never have to buy a crystal and get all 30 ch....

rx-7: Congrats on the radio...
sorry, but the 3D doesn't have the SRO feature, you can adjust the rate via a button on the handle or you could set up auto dual rate with very high steering at very low speed(I wouldn't set-up the auto dual rate this way).
If you want to see more features of the 3D, you can download the manual at: Hitec or Lynx 3D PDF Manual

Hello fellow lynx owners
I've just become a proud owner of the lynx 3d, this is my first rc experience - i have just bought an ntc3 - and i have bought a 625 mg for the steering and a 300bb for the throttle.
Just thought i would say hello, as i think i will be visiting this forum qiute a lot for tips and advice. Though it is a shame there is nothing like this in the UK.
My first Q is - who does a good protective case for my 3D - i looked on the ht webby - though there is no mention of such an accesory (or am i being blind)
thanx fiasco

fiasco: congrats and ask away if you have any Q's...
For a radio case I use the Dirt Bagz one:
Your LHS should be able to get them.
Should be around $25, or you can briefcase style ones...
I've seen a lot of people use cases made for handguns also,
you might have some trouble finding them in the UK.

Hello Ht chat
i have a small problem im currentl building my NTC3 and i have just purchased the servos to run it. now my steerin servo is fine though, my throttle servo is maybe the wrong one, i asked the interent modelsport ordering people for a hs300bb. Though i have recieved a hs325bb for which i can find no mention on the hs webby, also it is not listed as a recommended server for the throttle of the NTC3, should i return it.
Also as you know i have just recieved my lynx 3d, from the same model shop, though rather than finding the supplied overnight charger, i have been supplied with a Amerang charger, for which i was charged 10 pounds for the privalege. So i contacted the Hs, and infromed them i should have recieved a charger with the lynx, and they have agreed to refund me for the charge, what i want to know is this Amerang charger as good as the hitec one i should have had. If not i shall get the Hs to pay for the postage and send me the Hitec one that i should have recieved with my lynx.
heres a pic of the charger
Sorry, had trouble trying to code pic into message so please copy link into browser.
thanx fiasco
ps cheers for the advice concerning the bag

fiasco: the 325BB is close to the 525BB...
The 325 is a little slower and just a little less torque.
.19 to .16 sec. for the 525bb. The 525BB is what a lot of people use for t/b.
As far as the charger????
The Hitec one has outputs for both the Tx and Rx packs...
