I'm happy to hear I'm not the only one having excellent luck with these motors! Keep the reviews and comments coming guys.

I'm swapping 1st place with a tekin powered car - same SC10 and we trade best laps and 1st position by .1's of a second. $35 motor vs $150.....

Only thing I find is that it's a little 'soft' - it doesn't have great feel down low. Plenty of power but not as much down low throttle feel as I would like
+1 on the "little soft", i got hpi blitz tt 17.5 ,22/77 gearing ....top-end its good on the 120ft. straight-way ......but i want a good bottom-end punch, any opinion here guys ,do i need to bother the "timing can" ??

Ha, I'm planning on using that ESC as well. Glad to hear it's a good setup!

How long does shipping take when ordering from the global warehouses?

That seems a bit under geared. I'm geared 24/75 with a 13.5. Our high speed section is 80ft and I top out right in the middle. Try going up a few teeth on your pinion and see if it improves.

Anyone running one of their brushless systems? I am looking at the trackstar 3000kv/80a motor and esc combo for bashing in the snow with a Kyosho blizzard. I like that it's waterproof and not crazy power because I don't think the blizzard could handle something under 17T.

Of course it's on back order now too so I have some time to think it over.

What temps were you seeing when you ran this combo???

I am seeing 160 degrees in a 6 min race with the same setup you had on the truck when you owned it..

Have a 10.5 on order to replace the 13.5 Reedy Sonic in my son's DEX210. He wanted a bit more punch and for the price I have to try it. I'll use the Reedy in my 1/12th.

I live in Canada and I usually get my order within 3 weeks.

I'm running the same motor in my B4.1. I've got the boost at standard timing, and punch in the ESC maxed out and it still hasn't gone about 41 degrees celcius. Great motor with awesome rip. I haven't lost a race yet at my track this year with this motor. And I've got the same reaction from people when they realise my motor is 1/3 of the cost of theirs

There seem to be two main motor types called "Trackstar" for 1/10, one with a red/black can, another with a gray can. Has anyone tried both? Either one better than the other?
