Hey I have what would essentially be an 'SC10.2' that I will be looking to sell.

If anyone is interested, it's a completely fresh rebuild, new BB shocks (still aren't even built), Avid rack, hex conversion, VTS, JConcepts rear body brace. It has the plastic hubs though. I figured the plastic was a better way to go since I was running the A tower anyway (4.00 to replace a part that wears just as frequently as the 30.00 part is just smart LOL)

I didn't make up a for sale post or anything yet. I'm just not using this truck and would rather it not sit on the shelf anymore. And before the trade offers come in, I'm only looking for a loaded TLR22 or an RB6. If you have either then we can work out the differences. PM me I'm not in any rush, but figured would throw this out there in case someone wanted a fresh truck that already has all the options.

I want to know...are the AE SC10B (Short Course Buggy) front A-arm and shock tower are the new "OPTION" for the SC10 if more steering is what I am looking after? I heard that is the new thing to bling the SC10. But I might be talking stupid....just want to see does anyone did that? Because I see they are out of stock everywhere online.

A lot of people are doing them on the T4 and therefore trying it on the SC10. I have the tower in hand but am still waiting on the arms currently. It is suppose to give more steering as well as lower the CG up front along with standing up the shocks a bit

do people really need more steering with an SC10 LOL.... my truck steers so much that I have the dual rate in the 60's and I can still barely touch the wheel while driving.

From what I have understood is it makes it less twitch and more responsive/handleable (if that makes sense). I will be trying it as soon as my arms come in

I worked on my kids truck this weekend. It still steers tooo much. Or I should say the rear it too loose. Last week it was fine running on worn out tires. I put on tires with tread and it was crap. and I left my worn out barcodes at home.... sigh. I cant ever tune the sc10 to make much of a difference. I have tried everything. long links, short link, more washers , less washers, weight in the rear battery forward, middle, back, ride height changes, body mount changes and many more. I have concluded that this truck is best tuned with tires. We all know that tuning is 90% tires, but i feel the sc10 is 99% tires, lol. I am going to go broke trying to get the right tires on my kids truck. God I hate short course. I very much want her to practice with my buggy and get better, lol. The problem is the trucks will punt her off the track with a buggy. The ladies and novice classes are run what you brung. Several guys/gals have tried buggies and although they like them, racing with sc tracks is crap.

I soooo hear you on that!!! My son races Novice/Sportsman and he originally ran a Blitz about a year ago (well, we both did, thats how we got our start...both ran blitz's, him in Novice, me in pro2) And he HATED short course lol. He wanted a buggy in the worst way...I started him out with an ECX Boost, Novak 17.5 He got creamed by the trucks all the time....but I didn't feel bad because he was driving a $100 buggy lol. It actually taught him a valuable lesson...STAY THE HELL AWAY from everyone else lololol. He is a PRO at passing cleanly now (killed the novice class routinely with the b4.1 worlds we just sold) and now he is driving a b44.1 getting ready to make his entry into 4mod club racing. He even ran with the 2mod buggy guys for 4-5 races, and those guys were impressed that he was able to run with them, in traffic, and for the most part...keep things clean. He would do un-predictable stuff trying to get out of peoples way, but I chalked that up to him not being used to being passed haha

Anyways, I say get your daughter into the buggy...The kids seem to be able to drive them better than the trucks. I've seen that in a few other kids at the local track that have kind of "taken after" what my son and I have been doing....and it works!

dude, give her the buggy and let her race reg buggy class.... screw the ladies novice stuff. She already learned how to navigate the track and the basics. Now just give her a 17.5 and let her wheel it She will take her lumps for a little while and then you'll end up being the mechanic and she will be the racer in a couple years.

SC10 is harder to be smooth with if she can get that down when she goes to buggy she should be pretty good.

Okay guys. I know this has to be a completely fluke deal and I must be missing something here, but how does the front sc10 body mount fit on the sc10B shock tower? I've got the tower here but can't see a way to mount the two together.

Thanks,

Brad
