Both of those are going to be fast...gonna come down to which brand you like better. I personally use Tekin in my cars but I use Castle in all my aircraft.

2200kv is a little more powerful but the trick is puttng the power to the ground.

The MMM and 2200 is a beast but still non-sensored. I run the MMM and 2650 an once in awhile it will cog. Have no experience with the tekin system but I have heard it is nice and it is sensored so it should be smoother. Tekin was just a little out of my budget but I see alot of people use them.

Are you buying this for just bashing or will you be racing? If racing, both motors are a lot for e-buggy. Also, you want sensored for racing, so that throws out the Castle setup.

I would recommend the following 4s setup:

ESC: http://www.falconsekido.com/products...c-for-1-10-car

Motor: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...or_1900KV.html

Half the price of a the Castle or Tekin setup and just as good.

IMO, LHS support stops when they do not carry what you want. By all means if he wants one of the two setups his LHS has then supporting them is a good option (if they are a good LHS). If he wants a different setup that they do not sell, there is no "bad karma" with ordering off the Internet. Only purpose of my post was to let the OP know there are setups that cost a lot less than the Tekin or Castle setup, no matter where they are purchased.

I put the castle combo in my d8te. The tekin combo looks a little lighter and smaller. Might be good four the e buggy

Wasnt sure of you wanted to buy from your hobby store or just didn't want to wait or what. Yeah those combos are pricey. There is alot more cheaper was to go if you want to order online. I'm sure shipping is alot in Hawaii no?
