Default Motor compatability with Castle ESC?

I picked up a CC Mamba Max on ebay the other day with no motor to accompany it. I'm not opposed to mixing/matching brands, but want to make sure there won't be any adverse affects.

Are there any brands I should avoid using with the Castle ESC? Would an appropriately sized Tacon motor be okay to use?

Is it a MMP or MMM? I have both and only problems I have ever had is trying to use a Novak motor on the MMP. Just couldn't get it to work right. I think tacon motor will be fine with either one.
