1. What's the diff. between ball and gear diff?

One has balls, one has gears. One can be more finicky to setup, which is why the gear one is used in a lot of RTRs

2. What's the diff. between the b4, b4.1 FT, and b4.1 worlds?

breakdowns of what is added can be found on AE's site.

3. What is a shaved U-brace?

Got me there, so I wouldn't respond to that.

4. What gearing should I use for a 17.5, 13.5, and 10.5?

gearing is track and speed control setup dependent as well as motor type dependent too.

5. Do foams (open or closed) really make a difference?

track dependent.

6. Regular stick or shorty packs? Heck would saddles work?

I actually have that question on shorties versus full sticks, researching what was posted in the thread for more info. So would skip. As for saddles, yeah, they work.

7. What is the best way to mount the wing?

on the wing posts would be where I would start

8. How tight should my slipper and ball diff be?

ball diff I go snug (not gorilla snug) then 1/8 of a turn back. Slipper, I usually start with it slipping 1ft or less, though this is depending on track surface .

9. What's the best hubs to use (A,B, or C)?

good question!

10. And my favorite one of all, when is the B5 coming out????!!!!!!!

As soon as AE gets it to my house, then, the rest of your can get it.

Or, you can always just ignore the questions and don't post?

Wc you take the questions about the ae brand and also pistons

R.shackelford maybe sit this one out as you are pretty salty, maybe general setup if your feeling nice.. No pressure tho. Haha

Waflet you do part numbers.

I won't say much except for maybe talking smack on crappy battery company's. (my tech always gets corrected by someone)

Ready? GO TEAM!
Haha! . (Sorry I'm bored )

lol.

Honestly to me, I don't mind. I personally just treat it as answering questions to someone at the track. I have heard plenty of times over the same general questions, but, to me at least, if it helps someone out and keeps them running better than them getting frustrated and leaving the hobby. Again, to me at least, answering a repetitive question is the lesser of two evils.

Make it so new members can only post in the rookie section for their first five posts. Make it so they can't start a thread in any other section until 50 posts. Make it so their first post has to be in a thread in the rookie section stating they have read and understand these terms. Maybe also a small tutorial that shows them how to search, and what defines what type of vehicle and where to post (an electric helicopter is "off-road", but posts about it belong in the flight section).

You can't make people here more intelligent, but you can limit the rest of our exposure to their lack of it.

Is it possible to get the first post updated with info on those commonly asked questions? Then, just say "check the first post".

Anyway, happy for any help and advice you are willing to post for any questions I have. B4's always came back to as a default car.

the only way to do that would be for the person ho created the thread to update his/her post.

I know of all the rumors started about a new car when the WC's prices are lowered. Where would the cheapest place to get a fresh chassis at? The lowest I could find was Tower at 230.

if you are a member its $190 shipped from tower using one of there coupons. Or, $200 shipped after becoming a member ($9.99) then using the coupon, which you can do all at once.

There's no b5 coming out anytime soon. Once the worlds kits are sold there will be a b4.2 and i'm pretty sure there's also going to be an sc10 and t4 kit with big bores etc. This is just what i've heard from the engineers and drivers i know. The owner of WCRC said cav just took pics for the new b4.2 box last week but it still might be awhile until it gets on the shelves.

Wow I didn't know the tower club was that good! Is it good for smaller purchases also? Say a $100 order or a $50 order? I hear they have pricy shipping that kinda ruins the over all prices. Do they work on %'s off out lump sum discount coupons?
