You definitely want some solid batteries and a good charger to complete the brushless experience. I like nitro and electric for different reasons. One can not simply replace the other in my collection, they are both awesome in their own rights.
I have had good luck with venom batteries and will probably try thunder power as my next set of lipos. That looks like a nice charger but you may also want to consider the Hitec X4. I havent tried one but it will be my next charger.

I am not sure. To be safe, wait for the mamba monster 2.. It's supposed to be waterproof and 6s ready!

What do you mean? Buy the motor etc separately? Never going to do that..
I'm buying RTR because doing so would cost the same as just converting one of my LST2's... Also not even sure I'll like brushless enough to care about investing very much in it..

You will enjoy brushless. I was skeptical at first, but torque at any rpm and that amazing punch will keep you charging the batteries. No slight lag of the clutch.

'K.. Thanks. And what about my question earlier - about getting two 7,4V 3700 25C batteries instead of one 14.8V?..
It's very close now between the MT4 G3 and the E-MTA(and the SC8.2e is still in the hunt..) The E-MTA looks like more truck.. Under the lexan the MT4 looks pretty sparse.. Those E-MTA shocks though could make me a bit nervous...

Look at the 50-second mark or so.. It looks awfully complicated with all those gears set up like that. I would think the MT4 G3 would be much simpler and more reliable?...

Totally your call. If you want some track time, go MT4. However, you'll need to do waterproofing.

Hit up youtube/google.
I have waterproofed crawler escs before, but this is different. Heat will buildup unlike the crawlers.
For the receiver: Have leads sticking out of the receiver to have a servo/esc lead plug into. Epoxy the whole thing; cover every seam, hole, led light, everything. I have submerged my cars using this method.
For a *crawler* esc: This will gurantee overheating in the MT4 esc. Epoxy the whole thing just like with the receiver. (I can't help much with this. Hit up youtube/google or the electronics subforum here).
Servo: Doesn't need as long as you are not submerging the whole thing. Maybe epoxy the seams on the side and put marine grease on the gears.

OK, thanks.. That ain't gonna' happen though. If there were some bag or other such thing, OK.. But taking shxx apart, epoxying etc.. is too much hassle.
I run my nitros through puddles and stuff - the MT4 will have to make do..
I'd like to have a look at the bottom of the E-MTA. I guess it has the center drive bones exposed, etc.. like in a Savage. I think I've seen nitro versions, and the chassis is like a narrow aluminum channel.. Again, seems the MT4 just has a better layout..
Also, is the way the E-MTA battery pack is laid out only for 2x 3S packs, or would one 4S pack work in one of the compartments? That is pretty cool how the batteries are right there, low in the middle.. And if you did run only one, you could choose rear or front I guess.. Then on the MT4 the batteries are even lower and flatter...

Yep. I run my nitros through mud all the time. No protection too.
