I still want a new car....with BB's, hexes, new slipper, ect......why, because I want to come back to AE without dumping a ton of money on upgrades that may or may not be needed but I would do anyway..put it all in a kit and I'll buy it..

So I recently broke my rear camber screw that screws into the ball cup by a bad landing and causing it to bend and break. I was wondering what is the turnbuckles with ball cups on the forum that looks like light blue with a white ball cup? Any other suggestions are appreciated.

I also need to get new tires soon, so that means new wheels. What are recommended around here? The track I run on is a damp clay type. Also do I need anything special for mounting new wheels? Hexes or whatnot?

Don't worry I just bought a b4.1, bb shocks the hexes and the updated slipper. That means Associated should release a kit any day now.

Alright have question on the BB shocks,
-When I bleed them then put bleeder Screw in, when I pull shock shaft out how much should it suck back into shock? Or should it at all?
-Are most of you just running it as instructed with spacers or dremeling towers?

I'm running the ft blue shock mount, I think thats what its called, in the front and the rtr plastic ones in the rear with the dremeled towers and 2 mm spacers on the bottom of the rear. And also the C hub mounted on theback side

This plastic does wear quickly, the carbon parts wear a lot longer and if you tap the rear hubs they don't wear at all.

After you bleed them, the shaft should not at any point suck back into the body. This is called negative rebound and is a very bad thing as it takes away from you travel. I heve done it a couple of times on accident. Just put the spring on, let is sit for a couple minutes staright up, then remove and reinstall the bleed screw with out laying the shock . That should take care of it.

As far the rear camber links, I have run all 3 set ups. I dont like the dremmeled U-brace as the rear rotates too much for me. When the traction is high I like it with out washers, and when its medium traction, 1 washer. This is all with the rear hubs forward. Hope this answers your question.

Lol +1

Getting back into rc and not being up to date had me worried about AE releasing a new kit a month from now, it was another reason why I almost picked losi but figured with AE the most it would be was a new kit with parts I will be able to bolt on to my 4.1 anyways. Anything radical and I imagine it would have been leaked if it was gonna be that soon.

So sorry to bring this up, on a 17.5 motor, how are you guys setting your slipper?

For example:
slip 2 feet
or cranked down all the way for it doesn't slip

Like team drivers testing something!!! Here in Arizona I think something would leak. I saw one if the top team drivers 3 weeks ago and he was running a boring old B4.1. Maybe they are releasing something that he is not aware of??

The blue turnbuckles are the Associated Factory Team titanium ones with white RPM ball cups. Tires? The ones the guys at your track recomend.

I think it is more about driving style and set up. I like mine to be as tight as possible without giving up traction coming out of turns. Try running it a few different ways and set it the way that feels most comfortable to you.

I see Hartson, Numendahl, at least once a week and Cavalieri every couple of weeks at the track and I've seen what they are running, if Associated releases a new kit it will just be an update not any of the radical things rumoured.

And for MXer59 or anyone else that cares, Steven and Kody are running there front shocks spaced and the rear with the tower dremeled for clearance. I know because I asked and they showed me and volunteered to do mine. the guys from Associated AND TLR couldnt be any nicer or more helpful.

Hey guys ordering a new b4.1 what extra should I get while I'm at running in the mod class. I've heard about avid slipper but if I did that what slipper cover will fit over it anything else I should get? What's your thoughts on a Tekin 6.5 turn combo system or should I go lower or higher on motor turns?
Thanks
Wil
