11 degree is most likely the reason your having difficulties...

instead of timing , can also use a bigger pinion gear to help roll smoother

Use the timing first ...

technical background = more timing makes smoother control of power

160 F is the most I suggest

Cody, I apologize beforehand if this has already been posted by you, but can you give a breakdown of the setup you are running. If you have a link to pics of the track and even better video of the conditions can help with getting you situated.

If it were carpet and perfectly smooth, lower CG may be an advantage. But on a bumpy track, your going backwards and undoing a couple decades of suspension design.

Kinda like trying a square wheel

All that being said though, doesn't hurt to try something new or in this case decades old.

But I think WC has pointed out the best way to avoid the roll... smooth. Scte can be man handled, AE not so much.

Does sensor/sensorless affect this timing-thing? Im using a sensorless tenshock 401 4600kV. Track is bumpy indoor carpet but i'll post a video and setupsheet tomorrow.

Anyone tried the rear 3/3 plate?

Yes, you can't have dynamic timing (aka boost) with a sensorless motor.

For those running 540 motors, how long are your straights? Have enough punch for your jumps? Running 6.5, or hotter?

it works great on smooth tracks. increases on power steering at the expense of making the rear stiff under acceleration. Willl also give a slight rotation on entry.

Yeah, would like .25° increments, a little more anti squat would be good for indoor... but 3° was way too much for me.

M2C is almost there, adjustable toe and regular zero or -1° anti squat. I guess you could machine an insert for their part to get the anti squat to whatever degrees you want... but need a lathe and some talent for that.

Mike Nelson's SC10 4x4 at the 2012 Spektrum Race at S&N Trackside in Brookfield Wisconsin.

Not sure what your exactly looking to do....but I do know that the truck in the video was being tested with Rear shock shafts up front to add more droop....so the truck would transfer more weight to the rear end and thus could be driven out of the corner a little harder...not sure how many limiters were used though.....

Hope you guys liked the vid....

Yeah the Spektrum layout at trackside was really fun and still very challenging...you only have about 2 feet of groove then once your out in the dust it's Duke of Hazzard style driving.

Default Shock shafts

Is there any reason to switch out the kit shock shafts to the factory team ti nitrate ones performance wise or do they just look cooler.

I'm really not sure. I was .100 behind second and first on fast lap. Had 1 or 2 bad laps, never cornered, just ripped it up. And was no where near their speed. They drive larger lines but are so much faster on those lines. I have to buggy whip. I have literally. ZERO on power steering. I know I need to work on my driving, but I was ON it that night.

At the other track summer season, I was TQ'ing and winning. So this is just aggrivating.

Man, the 3rd party distributors don't even have the truck yet.

Belt drive offers more traction & the belt helps protect the drive train from shock from hand landings offering better durability.

Shaft drive has better acceleration , less drag and
offers a lower center of gravity for less chassis roll.

How can it offer more traction? Is it the chassis flex or a slipper-like effect?

Maybe RCShox could make some inserts

Sorry to hear that, I bet it is frustrating thats for sure. Be curious what motor setup they are running versus what you have.
