BTW.... I would in hind sight start with a your current .1 set ups and work with that, You will most likely find it to feel 8+ mm's more stable. With mine all it felt like all it needs is some weight in the rear.
I built mine box stock for heck of it just to see if it was any good on our track. And was not to bad, but it was easier to feel the difference with my set up from the .1 and I did feel a difference. It sure does feel stretched out...LOL

Your right. I was told last night that you could trim out the slipper pad and such. This was a SC truck racer. You make a the point clear ir just wont work. Though I hadn't gave a shot or thought.

Finished my 44.2 build. Too pretty not to take some pics of it!
I'm probably going to yank the blue anodized center bulkhead & cap out of my 44.1 to replace the now plastic pieces included with the 44.2 . I don't mind AE no longer including anodized aluminum fr/rr shock tower mounts, as I feel the plastic versions allow for more flex anyway, preventing shock tower breakage.
3rd pic shows that I replaced the blue aluminum shock bushings with plastic ones. The small gold AE 4-40 nuts are just the right spacing (about 2.8mm) to keep the mounting angle the same as the included aluminum bushings.
4th pic shows that I remembered to lay down black duct tape underneath the battery mounting areas. If you don't do this, you will scratch up the nice glossy carbon fiber (wish I had known before it was too late with my 44.1).
I also did not mount the front body mount, and shaved the rear body mount. Will lay down velcro on those two areas and along the side of the new battery trays.
And I will NOT miss dealing with those thumbscrews!

I'll see about the aluminum bulkhead later tonight and post what I find out.
P.S. aeRayls are you in Socal (WCRC / OCRC / etc) ?

Right on. So you were inside that sauna as well. Nothing like SoCal August with a heat wave to boot!
I'll be installing electronics and breaking in the diffs soon, and hope to finally run this 44.2 sometime this coming week!

Since breaking a left front a arm I have dropped the axle out twice now without popping a ball cup. I replaced the arm with a old one I had new in package from my b44.1 could it be that the new arms are stiffer with the reinforced webbing on the arm. Or just bad luck don't remember having too much trouble with old car. I will get the new arms when available but since its the same part # it's not that easy.
