What pistons are compatible with the B4.1 shafts? I'm thinking losi based on my searches, but I want to be sure. I see some running the ghea, are the BB ones the same as the 22 or kyosho? thanks.

guys tried the old Losi pistons (XXX shocks) in the V2 shocks. Not sure about the BB stuff though.

This cracked the top of the case where one of the pins that holds a gear stack goes in a hole. If you have it on & move the servo horn, it will move just a little bit while it is sitting @ rest. This causes the servo to bounce back & forth as it tries to find center. If it is under warranty, send it in & then sell it. If they won't fix a 6 week old servo, I'd buy a case & then sell to switch to a different brand. It will break in the same place again. I went through 3 cases for a jr 9100s before giving up on it & getting a radiopost red (this for my agama, but it also broke the case in the b4.1xl with the avid bell cranks). I have had no problems out of my Savox 1258 with the avid cranks.

Oops, this is what happens when you don't read through before responding. See above
exactly what happened to me on my sc10 with avid bellcrank, and also on my sons b4.1 with glued stock bellcrank. and yea, both of us running Savox's now with no issues so far.

AE doesn't make ceramic thrust balls, how would you know they don't work George? Don't you only run only AE stuff?

The ceramic balls literally last forever if you don't lose one. Mine have been in my SC10 for a year and a half. I ordered them from John Russo, was $9.65 for thrust and diff balls - delivered!

You can use those ceramic thrust balls , never said they don't work...

Last night ?
I reused my stock Ae thrust after I wore out the diff & out drives .
Pulled it out , did not even clean and slap it back in a new set of out drives ...

Diff came out smooth as silk ...

That is after reusing the same stock thrust again !

And
Now ?

That same thrust is going for another tour ...

Just saying ......

The stock thrust does not wear very much , if at all.

Can be reused over & over ....

This is the reason why I suggested save the money , you really need to use ceramic thrust balls ....

PS Craig

my B4 ride pimps

RPM ball cups
AVID TRIAD slipper
AVID springs
Jconcepts silent spur
losi pinion
AVID steering rack
Stainless steel screws , don't even know who makes um ..

So when you tell everyone I only use Ae parts ?

Your wrong again...

What should I change when going from low/med bite clay to high traction carpet? I know small pin tires in the rear are the hot ticket usually, what about the front: ribs or pins?

We run an astro/RCP mix for off-road, and Schumacher mini pin rears and Stagger rib fronts are the hot ticket ( yellow compound.)
