Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I thought about removing the washers or even trying to find slightly longer screws that would go all the way into the motor plate.

Does anyone know where to get just the c-clips for the hex axles in front? I converted my ft over to hex and I have one c clip that pops off internally every time I tighten down the wheel nut. It was on the loose side when I took it out of the package so I figure it needs to be replaced. Or is there a better part to use? Thanks

Whats the advantage of the big bore shocks? Searching this thread takes way too long. Its my understanding that you have to modify the shock towers? I'll need to replace my shocks this winter, wanting to know of its worth justifying the cost. Anyone got any dimensions on the lengths from eyelet to eyelet?

Default Big Bores

Until they revise the shock towers it does require modifying the tower to clear the shock caps.

Anyone running the new AE big bores yet? any setups? Springs?

I did find this on AE site

YES, they are better. You don't have to modify anything, they come with shims if you don't want to modify. You need to either try them or try someone's truck that has them.

You don't have to modify if you don't want to. They come with shims to clear the tower. It's in the manual you link us with.
Yes, I've had them 3 weeks and they main difference is to run oil 5wt. less and you can use the Avid, Kyosho, Losi or new AE big bore springs.

it's cool. I haven't run my SC10 yet simply because I never had time to finish it but I am just about done with it now. I know that the 4.1 has a 'standard setup' that will get you close no matter where you go. Figured the SC10 would have something similar. I think I have one of Ryans nats setups on there. If no one is able to chime in, I'll just start there and work off it.

I'll chime in and say, start there. 2011 roar nats is a nice baseline. Green yellow losi springs or yellow red avid.

I run the exact same setup on my ft t4.1 and my SC10, so I'd would start there.

Anyone know what size wheel nuts fit a hex converted 2wd SC10 ? I ordered the sc10 4x4 Jconcepts nuts and they aren't the correct threads.
