SC10 4x4 Thread
Just a few drops of oil on the seals before comparing advised ...
Very difficult to check stick with the shock body full of oil .

Reason I advised to compare pushing the piston back forth inside the shock with no oil ?
Is to compare the stick the rings bring what ever brand you are using .
Less stick is best for traction & performance ..
One ring install is easy way to reduce the stick.
Trimming .030 off the cartridge is great because you still get the benefits two seals bring (less oil leak)....

My comments, rather, had to do with individuals making tech suggestions without having done the required testing themselves. I have no problem with giving half-informed opinions, however, if they are presented that way.
I'm selling a complete sc10 4x4 package or seperate..CHeck it out if anyone is looking, sc10 4x4 roller with ft upgrade kit, aluminum hexes, rcshox slipper garodiscs, nanotech saddle pack, tekin rx8, tekin pro4 4000kv and 4 complete sets of tires that's 16 total tires/wheels!

There are people here who will swear by this spring change over many tracks with improved jumping and handling.
I ran the front blues in the rear on a low-med bite outdoor track and I thought the truck was a lot more calm. I never liked the yellow rear springs. I tried it several times, always the same. front blues in the rear were better.
I am going to give this a try. How do you make up the 3/4 of an inch difference in spring length though?
I was able to get my ride height, with the collars all the way down with the blue springs. Some people used a softer front spring in the rear and put the 8mmm spacers UNDER the spring cup or above the eyelet.

To me two of the Trackstar orings feels better than just one of the stock x rings and you don't need to trim anything.
You need 6 to 8 mm of uptravel limiters to keep from roaching the outdrives anyway.
I talked to a few of my AE pro driver friends, none of them are doing the "fronts in the rear" thing. At least none that I talked to.
The majority are running yellows F/R.
