My issue with you Tim is the fact I stated in my first update that I had also tried a Speed Passion 4.5 motor with the same result. Apparently you missed that as you have been to busy telling me I'm using a motor that isn't supported yet.
I have tried every software that the card will let me load (with the exception of Drift) on the 17.5, a 13.5, a 5.5 and a 4.5. All of these motors run just fine on all previous ESC's they have been attached to and the Reventon R that I have runs them fine as well (except the 4.5, tested it on my 2.1EX as the R isn't rated for a 4.5). All motors have a distinct dead spot where if they stop in that area they will not start unless I rotate them. This spot is consistent across all of the motors. I have sent this information to Howard and am waiting for his reply. I was out of town racing last week and have not read all of the latest information and originally assumed that it was just the Stock1 that wouldn't work with the 17.5, not all of the software. It seems strange that the website states ROAR approval pending for Stock0 in the Reventon Pro listing yet the software isn't released yet. I'm sure this will all be sorted out and I will finally be able to use the shiny silver paperweight. Then it will be a matter of waiting for the EX version to come out for my 12th scales.

compared with the r's 70amp or the pro's 140amp
but you are only running a 17.5 in blinky so it should be ok

I would go with the R version for your application. This will allow you to run mod down to 5.5 if the opportunity ever presents itself and the price between them is pretty small. I have two 17.5 touring cars currently, one with and S and one with an R and am very happy with both. The only reason I'm trying to upgrade one to the pro is to run mod class with a 3.5 or 4.5. The driving feel on both versions (S and R) in my opinion is far better than anything else I have tried (Novak, Tekin, LRP) and the brake strength is far better than the others as well.
140 amp and the ability to run the fan sideways to reduce your temp dramatically.(see post by Marcos.J)
The pro is all good to go out of the box for mod,but next week the software will be available for you to run 17.5
This esc is awesome.
Regards
Tim
