I thinks it comical that the AE guys go buy Exotek chassis to bring the weight up, closer to that of a Losi, and now MIP is making a kit to bring the wieght of the Losi down to that of the Sc4x4! Green grass!!

I'm usually not a fan of buying "used" parts really. I'm weird, I know

It's a hunk of metal tho.. It's not like it's electronics. It's basically a really nice weight.
It's nice to buy new tho, I agree.

Exotek stiffens the chassis greatly and keeps weight centralized down low. Makes truck much easier to drive.

I know people say you don't need the chassis brace with the exo chassis. I have an exo chassis but still can not find a compelling reason to dump the brace. I figure it's an extra measure of rigidity and I use it to zip tie my wires to sometimes.

For a shelf queen, buy new.

For a racer, it's going to look exactly the same after a single race day.....as long as the guy hasn't drilled any new holes, it's a hunk of metal...buy used and save 50%....

50% on a $10 item isn't much....but on a $100 item, it's worth it, IMHO.

The Promatch 5200mahs I managed to get about 12 minutes out of them before cut off (3.2V per cell) on a very slick track.

Looking at the shorty lipos I got in from Promatch, I was curious, is everyone who runs either these kind of of batteries (or the 1S equivalent) as far as dimensions goes orients them so they go across the chassis versus the length of the chassis. Seems the length of the chassis they are a bit more narrow, versus the width of the chassis they are more forward.
