What stainless steel screw kits are you guys using?
I might change all the screws on my B4.1

You definitely have a sweet ride there sir. Thanx for sharing the mod. Has it been durable. I was going to try that some time ago when I saw it done in the for sale thread on a B44.1. I was worried about cutting out some of the bracing.? the Nuts are a plus on yours.....

I was wondering what the big differences are from the B4 to the B4.1. Also, do either of these sound like a good deal?

B4#1 (This guy does not want to part out, but it comes w/two brushless motors which saves me the step of finding another one.)

B4#2(Would need to buy a battery for this one)

LMK what you geniuses think.

I would have to go with option 2. The SP is better than the novak IMO. I would take the heat sink off and run the 13.5 in super stock and mod. There both pretty good deals at that price. But a 6.5 in a buggy is just plain silly. Fun but silly.

The difference mainly is the chassis as far as any performance and really all you would need to meet any performance of the kit.

I've spent the last hour or two trying to figure out what parts are available for adjusting rear toe that aren't FT aluminum hubs for $30/set. I remember seeing in the past something about plastic b44 hubs with different toe angles, but can't seem to find anything on amain. Anybody have any part #'s?

I don't even know what my rear toe is right now. I've got the original b4 rear arm mount (the one with the shims for anti squat) and the plastic b44 hubs (#9730). I really cant find anything on either of those.

Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

These are for full arm toe , not just outside as with hubs. The plastic B44 or RPM hubs are 0deg.

There are better deals out there in the classifieds, keep looking. I got my 4.1 ft with a Tekin RS and Redline 8.5 for $200.

I've spent the last couple weeks lurking, but figured I'd register since I had the same dilemma as you. I bought my 9yo an RTR to see if he'd follow in my footsteps (I was one of the apparently very common 80's racers that is now coming back to the hobby). Anyway, now that he's racing, I decided to upgrade to all the FT stuff (and the new Worlds Chassis). With reading all the issues with slop with the aluminum stuff, I found the RPM rear hubs for the B44. Looks like the B44.1 comes with the aluminum stuff, which is why I went a version back to the B44. Here's a pic of the difference. They're a direct replacement and run the same outer bearing as the FT hub (and same inner as both the RTR and FT). Keep in mind you need a different crush sleeve though than the b4 runs. Again, this is RPM stuff... but an associated B4 part number would also be a great upgrade. Here's a pic of the difference:

(on edit: Apparently since since I'm new here I can't link pics so you'll have to pop this in your browser. Perhaps someone can take the link and post it for me.)

You do know that stainless bends easier than common titanium screws, which in turn bend much, much, much easier than your kit screws, right? They also weigh more than both.
